Stoke by Nayland Resort

The best day of our live happened at SBN Resort, the way they looked after us, from Mel our co-ordinator, to the bar and restaurant staff, to reception and maintenance. They made our day perfect, and I will never get over how special it was.

This place is amazing and from start to finish we were well looked after! Our wedding planner Mel was amazing and no question was a silly one and was very understanding ( I am neurodivergent and wedding planner was an experience). We went to every open event and was never made to feel like we shouldn’t be there again or like we were taking up their time. On the day Mel was able to sort out last minute issues with our dance floor and ensured the day ran smoothly. The food was amazing, the views to die for (especially down by the lake where we had some couple photo at sunset) and the staff were polite and hard working. We stayed over in the hotel the night before and the day of wedding and everyone on site were brilliant, even other guest congratulated us. Our guest also stayed over and said the facilities including restaurant and spa were amazing. We would recommend Stoke-by-Nayland to anyone for their wedding day.

We got married at Stoke by Nayland hotel on 18th May this year and can honestly say was the BEST day of our lives! The venue, staff and our wedding co ordinator Mel were absolutely incredible from start to finish. Could not of done more for us or make our day more special. They were reassuring, patient and went above and beyond throughout the whole process. Can’t thank or recommend them enough! Good luck to all you happy couples ❤️

I decided to plan a whole wedding in less than 8 months but that was made easy when we chose to have our wedding at Stoke by nayland and Melanie was an absolute god send to us!! Throughout the whole wedding process Melanie was always available and always answered any of our questions that we had for her. Melanie made sure that she met with us, phoned us and emailed us to keep us updated and made sure we knew exactly what would be happening on the day. Which made us extremely excited for how our wedding day was going to go. As soon as we arrived at the venue the day before the wedding , Melanie was there to great us allowed us to set up the venue the night before and got anything we asked for or needed. We had a lovely private area the night before for our bridal party to have dinner all together and spend time the night before the wedding. Melanie also pointed us in the direction of ensuring we had breakfast brought to our room the morning of the wedding as we were super busy. The morning of the wedding! It went so smoothly , Melanie arrived in our room to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything, she ensured I had her direct dial to phone her if I needed anything or even needed to ask a question. At the right time Melanie came and collected me from my room and walking into the ceremony room Melanie ensured my dress was all 'on point' ready to walk down the isle, after the ceremony as we were signing all the paperwork Melanie was ensuring that everyone had confetti, I actually only know this from watching our videos back otherwise I would never have known Melanie down this, these small details are so important to ensure that we got those confetti shots! As we walked back down the isle, Melanie and her team were waiting for us with our drinks. We were able to go in the golf buggies to have photos taken, Melanie was chatting to us throughout our photos to make us feel more comfortable, laugh and have a really good time. She checked in with me to make sure we were all okay and ensured I knew the right people to go to once she had left after the first dance and speeches. Which brings me onto Kerrie , what a little dream, she was so amazing, anything we needed or needed sorting she was there, she helped on the day and ensured everyone had the right meals during our breakfast. I am so so thankful for everything Stoke by nayland, Melanie have done for us, our wedding was everything that we dreamed of and our vision was brought to life thanks to everyone here for all their help! The venue room looked absolutely amazing, the lights were beautiful especially once the sun had set and it was darker in the room, it all looked beautiful as well with over looking the beautiful golf course. I can only recommend Stoke by nayland and their wonderful and amazing team! Extremely thankful and forever Stoke by nayland will hold a very special place in my heart!

Working with the wedding team at Stoke-by-Nayland was an absolute dream, they went above and beyond in every way possible to ensure our wedding day fit the visions we had. Our day went perfectly, everything run smoothly thanks to the work of Melanie and the team, we couldn’t have asked for a better day! They included the tiniest details we never could have imagined, for example our toast drinks were laid out in the shape of a love heart with our initials and it really did add such a sweet touch. Having our suite and breakfast included within the cost was an added bonus.. so spacious, amazingly comfortable bed and the breakfast options were endless!

We worked with Melanie for our vow renewal. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, was extremely helpful and nothing we asked for/or about was too much for her. Our planning and day would not have been so successful without her at the helm. The venue was fantastic, the rooms, the food & drinks were amazing. It all added to make it a very special day for both of us.

Our wedding coordinator, Melanie, was fantastic and very supportive and helpful throughout the whole experience! All the staff at SbN were fantastic, even helping us pack up our car the next day. Food is perfect, even allowing some custom alterations to make it just what you want. Beautiful venue and even on a rainy day, Melanie made accommodations to make sure we didn't get wet or muddy going onto the golf course for pictures. Everyone was superb with our nephew who has autism and tried to make him as comfortable as possible. When another vendor had brought the wrong supplies the morning of our wedding, Melanie stepped in to try to make it as smooth as possible and that our vision for our wedding was met. Overall an 11/10 experience and we cannot be more grateful to Melanie and all the staff at Stoke by Nayland Resort. Thank you :)

Good points; the DJ ( called "My Big Fat Wedding" ) was good. The venue with its vast grounds gave a good background. The reception staff were very helpful. The make-up service was of a high standard. Bad points; slow response to our e-mails. We had to regularly correct the Wedding Planner over details that we had pointed out in previous e-mails. On the day, the service from the planner was adequate but she was not open to any ideas or suggestions given to her. We had previously asked for a "open seating" sign to be available but this was ignored. The gift "pillar box" had a broken lock which should have been repaired prior to the wedding. The wedding cake bottom tier was not retained despite our request for this to happen.

My husband and I got married at the tipi site at Stoke by Nayland Resort on August 19th 2023. We couldn't have wished for a more perfect day. Melanie was our wedding co-ordinator and she was brilliant from the moment we booked through to the day itself. I bombarded her with emails about silly little decor questions I had (DIY wedding!) and she could not have been more helpful - I feel like I made a friend thorough out this process! The day was absolute perfect and we have had so many guests share the same sentiments - Even commenting on having met Melanie at the wedding and how much they loved her! We had a festival style wedding with 3 different food trucks, 3 different live music acts, lots of lawn games, a smaller bell tent for the children etc. - Nothing was too much! I would definitely recommend SBN as a wedding venue - It will be everything you dreamed of!

Professional, friendly, warm, relaxed, attentive. Just a few words to describe the amazing staff at Stoke by Nayland Resort. From start to finish, the whole experience felt so easy, not least to our wonderful wedding planner Mel. She was always willing to put our needs first, and this day we're still super grateful.
