Steventon House Hotel is an elegant Victorian country house wedding venue near Abingdon and Oxford, offering relaxed, exclusive weddings in a beautiful garden setting.
We host only one wedding per day, meaning the entire house, terrace and gardens are dedicated entirely to you and your guests — creating a warm, private atmosphere from ceremony to evening celebrations.
Our light-filled Conservatory Suite overlooks the gardens and opens directly onto the terrace, making it perfect for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and golden-hour drinks outside.
Couples love the intimate and personal feel of Steventon House. It’s large enough to host a wonderful celebration, yet small enough to feel completely yours.
Your day can flow naturally through the spaces — from garden drinks receptions and relaxed dining to dancing late into the evening with family and friends.

Jeevan and her team, followed are plan and made sure all the guests where well catered for. We can not thank them enough for ensuring are wedding day went smoothly. Flexible spaces, great outdoors and patio, and plenty of space indoors too for guests to relax. The main hotel has been refurbished, and now is stylish and modern. The staff work so hard and are dedicated to ensuring the couple have an amazing day. We booked it in 2016 and numerous changes had taken place over the this time, staff changes and a new extension/bar. Suzie was fantastic throughout, reassuring, answering questions and helping liaise with the room guests. Martin was also fantastic, I met Martin two weeks before when I arrived with our photographer to scope out the venue. On the day (and evening prior) he was great, any questions answered, he knew our itinerary off the top of his head. On our wedding day he helped with the suppliers, the set up, Suzie also helped when it came to me walking down the isle, and syncing the whole process with the music and registrar etc. Once married we came into the bar to chilled drinks as requested, canapés arrived quickly after. Pictures took place. The room was moved around for the evening, table decorations displayed as requested. Two meals were bought out for the small flower girls. We then had our speeches and toasts, Martin made sure the timings were correct, he helped everyone get in and seated before we were announced in, yet again chilled drinks were already waiting for the toasts. Our cutting of the wedding cake and first dance took place shortly afterwards and our evening party started, the buffet was amazing and continually replenished. The next morning all of our belongings from the day were kept to one side for us to collect. It was the perfect day for us and many of our guests commented that it was one of the best weddings they had been to. Food was lovely and beautifully presented. The whole day was very well organised. Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. We also, stayed the night along with a number of our guests. The room in the main building was very spacious, clean, the bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom adequate for our needs.We got married at the venue recently. It was the perfect day for us and many of our guests commented that it was one of the best weddings they had been to. Food was lovely and beautifully presented. The whole day was very well organised. Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. We also, stayed the night along with a number of our guests. We chose the twilight ceremony (6pm) and we opted for the hog roast for our guests. It was the best day ever. The weather was sunny and the photographs in the garden were fantastic as they are kept so well. Conner was on hand all night to make sure everything was just perfect for us. My elderly aunt fell over and as a result had a nasty cut to her head but Conner made sure she was well looked after, he went above and beyond. We also stayed overnight at the hotel along with several of our guests and everyone was impressed with the Hotel. My husband and I could not have picked a better venue in Oxfordshire, our day was amazing and we wish we could do it again. Our wedding went fantastically well with the staff being very attentive to all our and our guests needs. The bar prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. Our room was great seems to have been recently decorated. I'd highly recommend this place to stay for business or pleasure and as a wedding venue.'Booked for our wedding.
