Zoe I wanted to write a review on your website but couldn't find a link so decided to e mail you. I'm sure you can cut and paste this or do what you think best. But please ensure all your staff see it. " We held our surprise wedding at SGC, it took just 9 weeks to plan and it was a total secret to the 27 guests who thought they were coming to a 60th Birthday party. With the help of Zoe and Amanda the event was exceptional and seamless, totally without hitch, and kept a surprise until the day. Zoe was our initial contact who dealt with all our requests very efficiently, especially around my challenges of the secret not getting out, whilst complying with the the law around wedding ceremonies. Amanda was there on the day and coordinated everything, she was exceptional and worked everything with perfection. Thank you Zoe and Amanda. The food was of a very high standard, hot, timed perfectly and the shortbread desert was once again exceptional, the roast potatoes delicious. The service was also very very good, timed well , thank you to the Chef (who also took the time to speak with us on a taster evening). The service by the kitchen staff was made even more special due to the professional manner in which they served us all, but especially due to the lovely friendly, smiley manner they presented, with Amanda and others checking with Dean and I all the time that things were ok. Amanda was discretely around all the time over seeing things. Thank you to all the kitchen/waiter staff. Our guests arrived to be greeted by very friendly bar staff who dealt with complimentary and bar paying requests, until our surprise arrival and announcement that we were getting married. The secret was kept safe until that time by all SGC staff, thank you. Chris the registrar who married us in the downstairs ceremony room, was beyond exceptional, she conducted a bespoke personal service that was a show stopper with appropriate humour. Thanks Chris. (see separate e mail to Registry) A big thank you also to all back room staff, you all made our day a wonderful day. Finally, again thank you ALL for making our surprise wedding day the most intimate, tasteful, magical day we could have asked for, it was everything we wanted and planned for and perfect in every way, especially because the surprise was kept by all." We couldn’t have wished for it to go any better just wish each minute lasted longer. All the staff were so friendly and really did do the best job they could. It goes without saying Amanda was fantastic and really looked after us. My glass was never empty (very important) and she was a lovely calming person to have around. Anything we asked for we had in lighting time and like I say we couldn’t have wished for any more. Getting ready in the morning was so lovely with the fantastic view of the golf course and again the staff made everyone so welcome. I will definitely be recommending the golf club. On that note I would like to say how very proud you should be of the fantastic team you have. Of course thank you so much for all your help throughout the past 2 years. Time flies and we’ve had LOTS of emails but we go there in the end and I wasn’t worried about anything before or on the day. Can I ask what time the seafood night is on 20th June.
