Description
This hotel has three stunning event spaces to celebrate your ceremony and reception. The Gold Room is a charming space great for smaller, more private ceremonies. Complete with a chandelier, Georgian-style decor, and views of the golf course, this area can host up to 60 seated guests. Allamby's Brasserie makes for memorable wedding day ceremonies for up to 90 people. The elegant room benefits from elegant bay windows that provide a panoramic view of the golf course. The Penina Suite is the largest of all three event spaces. It can be arranged in several ways and fit up to 200 guests while still having space for a dance floor and live entertainment. The suite can also be divided into separate rooms, for smaller gatherings. Upon request, couples may exchange vows and happily wed on the property’s grounds and golf course during the summer months. Further facilities include accommodations, a 72-par golf course, and a state-of-the-art spa with various relaxing treatments.

Nina could not have been more helpful from the start - we felt relaxed about everything as we knew we were in good hands. Nina responded quickly to our queries and was always happy to help. The day ran perfectly. The toastmaster and other staff were extremely helpful and had incredible attention to detail – they wanted to ensure everything was perfect for us. The venue itself is beautiful and grand. Many of our guests commented on what a great venue it is. Finally, the food was brilliant. Again, many of the guests commented on how wonderful it was. From my very first enquiry with the Wedding Co ordinater Nina she has been absolutely brilliant. Nina is a credit to Shaw Hill along with Hannah who made sure the day went withòut any problems. The food was superb and everyone who attended enjoyed our wedding and said what a stunning venue Shaw Hill is. We will be back with our family's to have afternoon tea again as that is also a superb experience along with the Spa Treatments. - CChloe and Jonny19/10/2022Highly Recommend this beautiful venueHighly Recommend this beautiful venueWe got married at shaw hill 16th July 2021,After two cancellations with another venue due to pandemic we booked last minute with shaw hill and it was the best thing we every did!From booking to finish Nina and the team were just fab, so helpful and caring to make sure we had our dream wedding, and we sure did!The venue hotel & spa from arriving the day before with my mum and sister was so helpful, helped us with all the wedding thing (as you can imagine so many bag, dresses, flowers )We had a lovely meal and drinks and enjoyed the pool, spa area.The morning of the wedding Nina was on hand with her team and made sure everything ran smoothly, can honestly say I did not have one panic.The venue was dressed amazingly and the food was high standard, just delicious. We had a lot of children who was always felt welcome and entertained.The dj recommended by Nina was really good and ensured all our requests was covered.Not just our needs were met but all the guest to! - SSue19/10/2022Wedding ReceptionWedding ReceptionOur daughter and her husband had their wedding reception here on Friday. To say it went perfectly is an understatement! There are not enough words to describe how fantastic it was. Nina was just incredible to have as a wedding planner and from start to finish nothing was too much trouble. We had everything we wanted and more beside. Lauren and Tony were on hand afternoon and evening to help with anything we needed. The food was served quickly and seamlessly with nobody waiting whilst others ate. There were many comments about how impressed guests were by the standard of food and service. In the evening Guy, the resident DJ was lovely, very accommodating and created a fantastic family party atmosphere. The setting is just glorious and with the lovely weather we were blessed it was stunningly beautiful. Very happy with how all our wedding stuff was tidied away by staff and stored away ready for us to collect the following morning and even then we were not rushed out. We all enjoyed a family breakfast together after a very comfortable night and waved the bride and groom off on their honeymoon in a relaxed manner even though the staff were now extremely busy preparing for another bigger wedding that day. We true grateful to them all for making the wedding day as amazing as it possibly could be. Despite fearing that the day would be a disaster due to the short notice, nothing could have been further from the truth. The staff, especially Nina and all the managers (who put everything together expertly and with no fuss) could not have been more helpful. The room was decorated exactly as we asked, the organisation was evident and the staff very well briefed, so that we could relax on the day and just enjoy it. We didn't know much about the venue prior to booking, but we would strongly recommend to anyone planning a special event. The food was amazing, with most guests commenting on the service and quality of the meal. Our room overlooked the golf course, gave stunning views and was huge compared to others we have seen. Guest rooms were fine too and we are not aware of anyone complaining about any part of the stay. The staff worked tirelessly to make our day perfect. Nina and Loren were super organised and attentive which put us at ease at such an emotional time. The food was exceptional- some of the guests were commenting on how it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. The rooms (ceremony room, wedding breakfast room) were decorated beautifully by sophisticated events. The bridal suite was very spacious and felt very premium overlooking the golf course. One of the highlights of the day was the evening reception. Guy the DJ was absolutely brilliant. Very enthusiastic and energetic which got the crowd going. It was a fab atmosphere and guests were commenting on how good the music was. We told Guy what kind of music we liked and he played exactly what we liked. The evening buffet (bacon and sausage butties with chips) was delicious and of very good quality. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The maids did a very good job of the room. Guests using the spa said it was lovely and not too crowded. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice in the morning.
