The Out Barn is a striking blend of modern architecture and original 17th-century charm, set in the heart of the Ribble Valley countryside. This exclusive-use wedding venue combines natural beauty, thoughtful design, and complete flexibility to create a celebration space like no other.
The barn offers three unique and independent spaces: a tranquil retreat in the original stone-built barn with homegrown oak beams and handcrafted pine tables; a dramatic ceremony and dining area in the modern cedar-clad oval extension, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows and breathtaking views; and a rustic bar with reclaimed timber finishes and plenty of atmosphere.
The Out Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies and can host up to 150 guests for dining and 190 for evening celebrations, with ample outdoor space for lawn games if desired. Ceremonies are held in the oval extension, with wildflower meadows in bloom just beyond the glass during the summer months. The south-facing bar terrace, with fire pits and relaxed seating, is perfect for drinks, views, and golden hour photos.
We’ve recently added five luxury on-site lodges, each sleeping two, giving couples and guests the option to stay just steps from the celebration. For larger groups, our beautifully restored farmhouse sleeps 12 and is ideal for getting ready, hosting brunches, or extending the celebration over a full weekend.

- GGrace & Dalton07/11/2025Amazing venue Amazing venueThe Out Barn is an absolutely fantastic venue they helped us from start to finish, no questions went unanswered and Alice was so helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. We had an DIY wedding and they helped set everything up and i didn’t have to stress over anything! Overall we are so happy we booked our wedding day here, the staff are fantastic and the venue is amazing! The Out Barn is an absolutely fantastic venue they helped us from start to finish, no questions went unanswered and Alice was so helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. It rained quite a bit on the day and we barely noticed, because there were so many different spaces under cover, from the cosy snug to the huge stretch tent space. We have to give a special shout out to our coordinator Alice, who was completely fantastic in the lead up to the wedding day, on top of every detail, so friendly and accommodating, and took so much of the stress out of planning.We had our wedding at the Out Barn and it was completely brilliant. It rained quite a bit on the day and we barely noticed, because there were so many different spaces under cover, from the cosy snug to the huge stretch tent space. We have to give a special shout out to our coordinator Alice, who was completely fantastic in the lead up to the wedding day, on top of every detail, so friendly and accommodating, and took so much of the stress out of planning.

Throughout the whole process they were totally flexible to ensure we had the perfect day. Nothing was too much to ask and they did everything they could to help and support us. They took all the stress out of the day so we could just focus on enjoying ourselves. Overall we could not speak highly enough of the Out Barn, the staff are fantastic and the venue is beautiful. Meeting the team on a drop in session we was impressed by their professionalism and friendly welcome, we felt like we was in good hands. Alice was our coordinator, she was excellent! She organised the suppliers to work together and effectively to bring all the pieces of our wedding together like one big picture perfect Jigsaw.After visiting a few venues around the Ribble valley, the moment we arrived at “the out barn” we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Chris and his team were exceptional, we don't think the day would have run half as smoothly without them. They were professional and dealt with any problems as they arose so that we were completely stress free on the day. Aimee took over in the evening and despite there being snow let us know the plan for collecting our decorations and ensured it was all packed up neatly. We can't sing their praises enough.The Outbarn was such a beautiful venue, we opted for a winter wedding and despite it getting dark early, so we couldn't see pendle hill, the outbarn held its own and looked amazing.
