Sefton Park Hotel is a unique venue, independently run and overlooking Sefton Park Lake, providing the ideal backdrop for your celebrations. The hotel was once home to Stuart Sutcliffe, the Beatles original bass player and now boasts a carefully curated collection of memorabilia, telling the story of his life and time with the Fab 4. The hotel has been considerably refurbished and upgraded, with our function suite, public areas, guest bedrooms and grounds all having been refurbished.
We are fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies and have a range of wedding packages available. However, we appreciate that each wedding celebration is as unique and individual as the couple and would be delighted to prepare a personalised proposal for you.
We offer three unique spaces in which to celebrate your special day:
· Our Lakeside Suite can cater for up to 100 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast
· Our Marquee Suite can cater for up to 50 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast
· For smaller weddings, our private dining room overlooking Sefton Park Lake can accommodate up to 20 guests
· For your evening function, our Lakeside and Marquee Suites can be combined to accommodate up to 200 guests
Whether you require an all-day wedding, twilight wedding or evening only event, our dedicated Wedding and Events Team will work with you to ensure that every detail is taken care of. In addition to your wedding day, Pre and post-wedding dinners, lunches, barbecue celebrations, buffets and other activities can be arranged on request to ensure a truly unique bespoke experience for you and your guests.
The hotel offers 17 guest bedrooms which can be booked by your guests and an exclusive use option on the entire premises is also available.

The 3 course wedding breakfast was buietifull , was hot and delicious, again are needs where taken care of for are few guests with different needs . The room and bathrooms was clean , fresh are colour was yellow for are set up 💛. The staff was all very efficient service of drinks was very good making sure no one was thirsty haha 😆. Evening the buffet was amazing, also the dj too . Nadia helped us organise everything and did a superb job decorating the room and marquee for us. Everybody really enjoyed themselves. All staff are very friendly and welcoming and did their utmost to ensure that all guests has an enjoyable time. My wife and I stayed there as part of the package as did a few of my wife's family members. The rooms are lovely and well kept. Nardia was very understanding with mum's requests and knew exactly the style she wanted. On the day the room was decorated perfectly to mum's taste. The staff at the Hotel where wonderful, from bar staff, to kitchen staff, to cleaners and to receptionist. They were all very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The food was wonderful (sit down meal and the buffet). We can not thank the staff enough for making my mum and step dad's big day that extra bit special! The staff here were amazing from the minute we booked 18 months before the big day, nothing was too much trouble! Nadia who dealt with us for majority of the organising was fantastic, always at the end of the phone whenever I was worried about something. I stayed the night before the wedding and Nadia set all my dresses out in my room for me and my bridesmaids which was a lovely surprise when I arrived. The day ran perfectly, no stone was left unturned when it came to the detail and precision put in to our day, the room was laid just as we had wanted and Nadia again was on hand throughout the day, when the nerves kicked in. I really can not thank the staff enough for all their hard work on our special day!
