Meols Hall is a historical manor house which dates back to the 12th century and situated within the 100-acre estate is the magnificent 400-year-old Tithe Barn which has been lovingly restored by local craftsmen. The Tithe Barn sits in the original cobbled courtyard alongside the coach house which is full of rustic charm, making a truly special and unique setting for your wedding day. You will have exclusive use and there are 100 acres of private grounds for wonderful photos! Whether you are considering a ceremony, reception, or twilight wedding, Meols Hall is a relaxed and original setting. Ideally located in the historic village of Churchtown a designated conservation area and just 5 minutes from the many hotels in Southport, bordering Lancashire and Merseyside. Facilities and Capacity For intimate gatherings or celebrations from 50 up to 120 guests, the venue is available for exclusive-use year round. The original brick built barn is a very special place for your ceremony or reception. The barn is equipped with a modern kitchen, central heating, a bar, a sound system, and disabled-access facilities. Outside, the grounds are yours to explore, while the cobbled courtyard and coach house are available all day to enjoy with your guests. Services Offered A wedding coordinator will work with you to design a day tailored to your style and needs. Your meal will be prepared by the seasoned in-house catering team. The venue has ample space for a live band, DJ, and dance floor. Meols Hall Tithe Barn is available for weddings and events throughout the calendar year. Gatherings can be enjoyed all year round, with guests enjoying the courtyard in the summer and fully central heated and lit by enchanting candlelight in the winter months

The most perfect venue The most perfect venue
We had our wedding at Meols Hall and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The venue is simply breathtaking and full of charm, character, and romance. The beautiful cobbled courtyard, the stunning Tithe Barn, and the surrounding grounds created the most magical backdrop for our day. Every part of it felt timeless and elegant, yet warm and welcoming. The team at Meols Hall were amazing to work with. They were so friendly, professional, and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly and exactly as we’d envisioned. Nothing was too much trouble, and their experience really shone through we felt completely at ease knowing we were in such good hands. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the venue, and we truly couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Meols Hall has this wonderful combination of history, beauty, and intimacy that makes it so special. We’ll treasure our memories there forever and would recommend Meols Hall to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable wedding venue. We had our wedding here on 22/08/25 and it was the most perfect day. This was the third venue that we had viewed, but as soon as we walked in we both instantly knew it was the one for us. Not only are the venue and the grounds stunning, but the ladies that work there (Julia and Sue) were amazing from the get go. From us initially looking around, the booking process, planning stage and right up until the day, which they made sure everything ran smoothly and there really wasn't a thing for us to do or worry about. We booked their twilight package, which meant we were able to have a more informal celebration after the ceremony - no seating plan or formal sit down dinner, and more focus on the party - this suited us down to a T! This also meant we were able to go with Graham Eyes the butcher for our catering, who provided canapes and a fantastic BBQ, many of our guests complimented how good the food was and we couldn't have agreed more. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking to book their wedding, it's a beautiful setting and Julia and Sue will do all they can to make sure you have the most incredible day! A wonderful day for us both - the best day of our lives (so far!). Couldn’t have asked for more, the team went above and beyond in terms of the help they gave us, and everything went like clockwork. A stunning venue, the courtyard felt like something from the Mediterranean in the evening sun, and the grounds were beautiful. Churchtown will forever have a special place in our heart, and Meols Hall most of allA wonderful day for us both - the best day of our lives (so far!). We had our wedding in June and from the moment we selected the Tithebarn at Meols Hall we knew we had made the perfect choice. Julia and Sue helped us through all the pre planning and were unbelievable on the day. They are fabulous people who made our whole wedding so special. Nothing is too much trouble and we would highly recommend them and the venue. 5 stars. We viewed a few venues that were all nice but the second we walked into Meols Hall we cancelled all of our other viewings with other venues as we just knew it was perfect. The venue even had a package for twilight weddings in the making when we booked which is exactly what we wanted. The venue is perfect, the staff are amazing and so helpful and down to earth, we had no issues at all what so ever and were able to see the venue as many times as we wanted beforehand. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. We recently got married at Meols Hall and can’t speak highly enough of the experience. The venue is beautiful, but what really made it exceptional was the team behind it. They were so responsive and helpful throughout the planning process, answering our (many!) questions quickly and clearly. The pricing was completely transparent, which made budgeting much easier and less stressful. On the day itself, the staff were outstanding—friendly, efficient, and so calm. They made sure everything ran smoothly and helped us feel relaxed and able to enjoy every moment. Our guests were blown away by the venue, and so many people told us how much they loved the setting and atmosphere. It was just the perfect day from start to finish. The perfect twilight wedding! The venue is absolutely perfect and the staff are very attentive. They made our wedding day better than we could have ever imagined. From the first viewing to the day itself, the whole process was easy and smooth. They adhered to every single one of our requests and were on hand for everything we needed to make our wedding day so special. The grounds are stunning and the barn where the ceremony is held, and the coach house is just everything you need to have the most amazing wedding. As the review title says - everything is perfect. We looked at a couple of venues but each one had something that wasn’t quite what we wanted. Whether it being the layout, location or even the people who managed the venue. But Meol’s Hall ticked every single box. Within 30 minutes of us leaving the venue we called to pay a deposit for our wedding in Spring 2024. - The location and grounds are amazing. As there is a long drive way to the venue it really does feel like you are in your own little world. - Every single member of staff from the cleaners all the way through to the management team did everything they could to make our day run smoothly and they all play their part in what makes this is such a great venue. - Their attention to detail is second to none. I think somebody’s wedding day is always be the most special day of their lives, but if you are looking for somewhere that takes your day to the next level then you need to look at this venue.
