Scarborough Spa has various indoor and outdoor spaces for gatherings of 60 to 300 people. Whether you envision an intimate ceremony or a more elaborate reunion with loved ones, you will make memories to last a lifetime. Your vows can take place in the venue's grand ceremony spot, known as Suncourt, which has been featured in many TV shows and films. Its timeless elegance and awe-inspiring views of the sparkling seas will leave you and your guests swooning. Inside, Victorian-style design continues in the Suncourt Suite, along with plenty of natural light, and vibrant uplighting. This spacious area is ideal for an elaborate wedding breakfast and an evening of dining and dancing.

We often met her when we were slightly stressed or worn out and she was friendly, kind, informative and edifying. She created a plan to our specifications and budget that was fabulous. She encouraged and helped to bring into being, some of our creative touches on decor and activities. From the moment we booked, 3 years before our big day, Naomi was fantastic. Everything ran so smoothly and we had so many comments on the gorgeous food, how accommodating they were for food allergies and how organised it all was. It all was just so perfect and I cant recommend it highly enough. We fell in love with the venue- it’s absolutely stunning and we were lucky enough to get beautiful weather too! The venue is dog friendly which was perfect as we wanted our dog to be part of our special day. Unlike other venues he was allowed in all spaces (indoor & outdoor) Our wedding co ordinator Naomi was brilliant from the first meeting and helping our day run smoothly. The meal was very tasty and staff very helpful. Which had such special day. Highly recommend We would highly recommend scarborough spa as perfect wedding venue . Naomi, the wedding coordinator, saw to our every need without hesitation and made the whole day flow seamlessly. It's impossible to pick one. Each wedding is so different, I love when people want to make use of our many different photo opportunities, we are so lucky to have incredible views and architecture, no two weddings ever look the same.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember that it's your day! It sounds really obvious, but so many couples worry about family and guests when the day should be about them.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We recently had a couple that used our Sun Court to house retro fun fair stalls including a tin can alley and test your strength machine. The guests loved it!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We are so lucky to have some fantastic photo opportunities here at Scarborough Spa. From our gorgeous Sun Court with its famous chequered floor to the balcony overlooking the North Sea. Not to mention the beautiful architecture of the building, colourful beach chalets or a romantic stroll on the golden sand.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We are yet to have a celebrity guest at one of out Weddings, but as a venue we have had many Celebrities performing in our Theatre and Grand Hall. We have also been featured on lots of TV programmes and even had Ted Baker use our Sun Court for a fashion shoot!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Mini Yorkshire Pudding with a Sirloin Strip and Horseradish
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
I have a sweet tooth - so I love a Candy Cart!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
A venue as old as ours has so many unique features, but my favourite is the view from our Sun Court windows overlooking the Sea and entire South Bay up to Scarborough Castle. It's even prettier in the evening when the sea front is all lit up.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our in house catering is amazing, and our team of Chef's work extremely hard over the whole venue. We are incredibly friendly and it is our main focus to have a very personal feel with all our couples so they feel comfortable trusting us with the biggest day of their lives!
