Rookery Meadow is a true blank canvas venue, meaning you have complete creative and financial control over every element of your special day. Whether you are seeking a relaxed day, festival wedding or classic marquee wedding, our flexible approach gives you a genuine chance to create something truly unique. Campers are welcome whilst you can spend the night under the stars in our bridal bell tent. Benefit from free unlimited hire of props from our Barn of Curiosities, including the rustic old oak bar, tree of cake, milk urns, log slices, jam jars, straw bales, blanket boxes and much more. The lake features a jetty and lake walks, offering a beautiful spot for a ceremony or reception. Or have your marquee/ tipi away from the lake in the meadow, where ancient oak trees offer shade and there are two acres of grass ready for you to fill with guests and games. Hire is from £3,500 - £4,000, there is no VAT to pay and the price includes: - exclusive use for three days (Friday to Sunday) - generator and wiring - unlimited free prop hire from the Barn of Curiosities - support to research and contact suppliers - event manager on the big day. Plus the option to spend the night under the stars with our camping package (optional extra - £300) which includes freedom for guests to camp, bridal bell tent, shower room for Bride and Groom. Facilities such as a marquee/ tipi, catering, toilets, drinks, entertainment, celebrant and flowers are not included and are hired in by each couple. We support you in seeking out the things that meet your needs and have a list of recommended suppliers to inspire you. There is no corkage! The average total cost of a Rookery Meadow wedding, including venue hire, is £18,000.

When we became engaged there was no question about venues - the best place we could think of celebrating our special day was Rookery Meadow. Nowhere else could offer the freedom to choose everything we wanted, and nowhere else could match the beauty and tranquillity of the natural surroundings. We know that not everyone is as lucky as we are. Most people don’t have a fairy-tale meadow at the bottom of the garden. So we are giving you the opportunity to share ours.

We charge a hire price of £3,500 - £4,000. For this you will enjoy three days exclusive use, room to camp, separate car park, unlimited hire of accessories from the barn of curiosities, help to source and contact suppliers, help to set up and breakdown, event management on the day, and a generator to provide power. You can also spend your wedding night under the stars in our bridal bell tent complete with wooden double bed, and you and any other campers will have access to a private shower, toilet and utility room (single shower room can cater for up to 15 campers).

We got married at the beautiful Rookery Meadow in September 2023! It’s such a special venue, in a peaceful countryside location! Rob & Gemma went above and beyond to make our day so incredible! We can’t thank them enough for all the supplier recommendations, their help organising the day plan, their support setting up, making sure the day ran smoothly and this was all after two postponements due to covid, which they kindly helped us through! We had a dream day, Rookery meadow is an amazing venue, but what really makes it is Gemma, Rob and the team- thank you so much! We’d recommend this venue without hesitation and if you choose to get married here we’re sure you’ll have the best day!We got married at the beautiful Rookery Meadow in September 2023! We held our wedding reception at Rookery Meadow last weekend and cannot recommend this venue highly enough! Gemma and Rob were amazing throughout the whole planning process, especially when we postponed our wedding (twice), helping us find new dates and rearrange with suppliers. The day seemed to flow perfectly and a lot of our guests have commented on how beautiful the setting was and how well it was run. When our evening caterer broke down Gemma quickly arranged a replacement for us so we had nothing to worry about and we still got pizza in the evening like we planned! From the moment we visited we just felt very positive about everything. Gemma and Rob were so welcoming to us and just got the balance right where early input was concerned. Many of the venues we had visited wished to impose caterers, bar companies etc. on us with the line ‘they can do it in their sleep’ but Gemma and Rob had a long list of suggestions and personal recommendations with no pressure. As it turns out all of the recommendations we took up were A*. We had a wonderful time, it is a special place. From the moment, we viewed the meadow it had a magic feeling that allowed us to have the day we wished for. Having access to the meadow in the week running up the wedding is fantastic and really makes setting up a fun experience. We wouldn’t have done it any differently. Gemma and Rob were excellent right through from the early stages of planning, the setting up, the day itself and the break down. They really did go beyond our expectations in every way. Absolutely everybody thought the venue, the food, the bands, the whole weekend was fantastic and that is in no small way down to you. What an incredible job you do creating and making magical days for special couples. You supported us, guided us, even listened to our stresses and woes! Rookery Meadow could not have been any more than we could have wished for. We were really hoping to make our wedding very personal and our own and Gemma and Matt allow you complete autonomy to do that and the big added bonus is they help you do it! It's a magical setting that even on a rainy day that we had still looks beautiful. Gemma and Matt are the best managers, offer so much flexibility and are very hands on- not like you would get in most places. We would not have had the day we had without them. We were able to make the marquee completely our own, get our own caterers and bring all of our own booze to cater for everyone. We had a pub marquee added on where the venue offer an actual pub bar which looked amazing. We got to extend our wedding overnight and in the morning with our guest camping next to us in the field so got to relive it all the next day. I can not recommend this place enough for your wedding day. It was absolutely perfect, so much so that we can't help but take ourselves back there every year on our anniversary.
