Ramster Hall is a private country house nestling on the border of Surrey and West Sussex and surrounded by 25 acres of beautiful parkland and award-winning gardens.
This charming and much-loved family home is licensed for civil ceremonies and offers a choice of characteristically exquisite rooms for your reception. Exclusive use of these stunning rooms and the adjoining private enclosed courtyard make for an intimate celebration whatever the size of your party. As a dedicated wedding venue offering experienced and friendly service, you can look forward to a special wedding retreat in an idyllic countryside setting.

We are so lucky to have these fabulous halls that are so perfect for a wonderful celebration, I really love what we do here and so enjoy that every wedding is individual and special. Rosie was incredibly helpful throughout the full process - from booking through to the day after. The venue itself is stunning, works in rain or sun and is just filled with character. It's a very magical place to get married, we feel so lucky to have found it. And it's nice knowing we can go back to the tea house and gardens for a future anniversary :)We can't imagine having been married anywhere other than Ramster. Rosie was incredibly helpful throughout the full process - from booking through to the day after. The venue itself is stunning, works in rain or sun and is just filled with character. The building itself is beautiful, full of history and character but what we loved the most was how welcoming it was. We visited many wedding venues that felt cold and corporate; you knew they were just built for the purpose of being a wedding venue. When we walked into Ramster we felt the complete opposite, it felt warm, welcoming and full of life, it had a great atmosphere. From the very first visit we knew that Ramster was the perfect venue for our wedding. The building itself is beautiful, full of history and character but what we loved the most was how welcoming it was. We visited many wedding venues that felt cold and corporate; you knew they were just built for the purpose of being a wedding venue. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful your venue is. Not only is the venue and setting absolutely beautiful, Ramster is a family home complete with beautiful paintings and fascinating artefacts which makes the environment so much more personal and special. The fact that we were able to hire the venue with exclusive use made it particularly appealing as it was important for us to get married and celebrate in an intimate setting. It also helped that we could take all our own drink without any corkage fees from Ramster or the caterers which is very unusual! We fell in love with Ramster Hall as soon as we went to visit. Not only is the venue and setting absolutely beautiful, Ramster is a family home complete with beautiful paintings and fascinating artefacts which makes the environment so much more personal and special. Yes, but I am not allowed to say!!
What’s your favourite canapé?
hmmmm... canapés are my favourite bit I love them all... the delicious little pork belly bites with apple and wonton crips are fabulous though and the Parmesan and porcini churros with truffle cream, Scallop and pancetta with roast garlic pea purée and deep-fried sage, Seabass ceviche with avocado on tostadas,... I could go on !
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
The Pizza van - woodfire pizzas as chosen by the bride and groom, I love it when they call the pizzas something that means something to them...
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The courtyard, the beams, the huge open fireplace, the history, the gardens
What part of your business are you most proud of?
I am proud of the service we offer and the relationship we have with our couples and I am proud of the way we upkeep the halls, garden and surrounding areas.
