Romance and History

Owlpen Manor in its hidden private valley is a romantic and historic venue in the heart of the Cotswolds with history going back over 1000 years. The valley takes it name from a Saxon nobleman called Olla, who set up his "pen" in the valley before the Norman Conquest, and the rest is history!

Three Day Weddings

We offer exclusive three-day weddings here, so you can arrive the day before and settle in/ decorate without being in a hurry, and treat friends and family to welcome drinks or a BBQ the night before. You can wake up on-site and have the whole morning to get ready, and the next day we encourage guests to stick around. We can provide brunch to all of the guests, or just do relaxed bacon sandwiches at a holiday cottage, followed by some wild-swimming in our spring-fed lake before going of on your honeymoon. We only hold one wedding during the week and one at the weekend, so that we can give you the full attention that you need to make all of your wedding dreams come true.

Barn Venue

Our barn venue is perfectly designed for up to 120 seated guests for a wedding breakfast, and 150 for the evening party. You have use of the Cyder Barn, dated 1446, which is licensed for indoor ceremonies, and the pole barn next door which seats 120 guests comfortably. If you would prefer to have a ceremony outside there are a number of striking locations to choose from, depending on the time of year.

Church

The church is just a stone's throw from the venue, so there is no need to use a wedding car if you would like a church wedding.

Garden receptions and ceremonies

The historic formal gardens are the perfect back-drop for drinks receptions and ceremonies. We can set up an al fresco bar and welcome musicians to perform while you enjoy the afternoon.

Dining for 120 guests

In the late afternoon you can enjoy a relaxed dining experience on wooden trestle tables in our large pole barn which was custom-built for weddings and seats 120. If you prefer a fine dining experience we can re-configure the space with round tables and linen cloths. The space is beloved by florists and stylists who enjoy finding fun ways to decorate, and also families and friends who love to spend the day before a wedding bringing all of their creative ideas to life.

Evening party

The magnificent Medieval Cyder Barn is the bar and dance floor, so bands and DJs can set up while you are eating and you can go straight into an evening party without having to wait for spaces to be prepared for you while you and your guests are trying to enjoy your wedding day.

Fire Pits

Outside the barn venue, the courtyard has an outside bar for cocktail hour, and fire pits so you can sit our under the stars with your friends, if you need a break from the dance floor.

Food and Drink

We offer bespoke packages which are specially curated by our head chef. Choose from a range of canapés, three course dining experiences, barbecues, hog roasts, wood-fired pizzas or specially selected international cuisine. Enjoy wines and local beers to pair with your dining choices, and a bar which is open whenever you need it.

Boutique Accommodation and Glamping

Owlpen Manor is not just a barn and historic house wedding venue. If you book with us you are hiring a whole country estate for three days. We have nine boutique holiday cottages which sleep 40 people in total, and a glamping area next to the venue which can sleep a further 14 guests.
