Old Palace Chester

Had our wedding here! It was absolutely incredible and they made me, my wife and our guests incredibly happy. A lot of the guests afterwards talked about how important they felt as the service was always on top of every empty glass. The food was incredible and the scenery was just beautiful. The palace suite was absolutely incredible, jaw droppingly so!

We had the most incredible wedding at Old Palace, Chester. The venue itself is stunning, but it's the staff that make it so exceptional! Georgie and the team are truly out of this world, but a special mention to Lauren who went above and beyond to ensure every last detail was perfect. We felt like we had our own personal wedding planner at times - she always made time for us to discuss our day and offered advice every step of the way. The food, drinks and service could not be faulte!

Having grown up in Chester, I must say Old Palace is one of the City’s hidden gems! I can’t tell you how perfect and special the team made the day for us. From the second I walked in that morning they were just incredible. Our day was pretty much as perfect as it could have been. We did research and visit a number of other wedding venues but in terms of value for money, the staff and venue other hotels etc just didn’t compare.

Old palace is such an incredible venue. We got married in September this year and had the best day celebrating. The food was amazing and we had so many comments from our guests about how incredible the food, venue and service was! 👌The staff there are so helpful and attentive. A special shout out to Georgie and Lauren who go the extra mile and make your day even more special. Would definitely recommend getting the cocktails and beer barrels for your guests it went down a treat! X

The team at old palace are second to none. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing they all are. Gemma, Georgie and Lex supported us through the whole process even including having to cancel twice due to covid but they saved the day every time. The big day was seamless. Right down to the smallest detail they did everything we could have asked for and more.

Old palace Chester provided my husband and I the day of our dreams. Nothing we asked was ever too much and the staff were fantastic. Many of our guests commented on the welcoming staff, the location and the amazing food.

The team at Old Palace went above and beyond to make our wedding a magical day. The venue itself is stunning but what really made the day for us was how well organised everything was, with Gemma making sure everything was done for us. We also had an unexpected issue occur that the team went to extra lengths to help sort out on the day of the wedding and the next morning. Could not have asked for more!

We had our wedding at Old Palace Chester on New Years Eve and the whole day was even more amazing than we had expected. The venue is beautiful and feels so private. The staff were all so friendly and helpful (family members with children also commented on how good the serving staff were with them); and the food was amazing (guests commented on how much better the food was than at other venues they’ve been to). We are so grateful to everyone at Old Palace Chester for making our day so special!

Our experience with Old Palace was excellent. From seeing the venue on line, visiting on an open day, making a booking and everything leading up to achieving our dream wedding was flawless. The staff were professional, knowledgeable and considerate and every interaction was clear and straight forward. Everything on the day ran like clockwork. We felt so lucky to have our big day there and we were immensely proud to show off such an amazing place to our guests visiting Chester for the first time.

What a day!! Cannot recommend this amazing venue more, we loved every moment with the Old Palace team from the first visit to saying goodbye as newly weds. We fell in love with the venue on our fist visit and Georgie’s energy was just infectious and made us so excited to start planning. The venue is stunning, the food looked great and personalised service on offer made us feel very special. From the first planning meeting Lauren guided us through all decisions, the most phenomenal food & wine tasting and was so great at keeping us on track and ensuring we hadn’t forgotten anything. Most of our suppliers were on the Old Palace recommended list meaning they knew the venue so were able to make relevant suggestions (eg flowers complimenting the venue colour scheme) and getting in and out to set up was very smooth. The service was second to none with every guest feeling looked after, we have had so many comments about the attentiveness of staff and level of service throughout the day. The food… wow! Four courses of taste sensations (blue cheese gratin is a real crowd pleaser) and feeding 100 people to get 100 positive reviews is incredible. Canapés were delicious and the bespoke Christmas cocktails were a dream! We managed to spend time with each and every guest, get on the dance floor, enjoy ourselves, have the best time and the team just took care of us so well. Georgie made sure both the bridesmaid room and groomsmen room were happy all morning and on time to meet guests and walk down the aisle. Lauren made sure we tasted the canapés, had a drink in hand at all times and got through everything (photos, meal, speeches, cake cutting, first dance…) on time without having to look at a clock or a plan once. Everyone says planning a wedding is stressful but we were SO happy with how our year of planning went with the Old Palace and SO happy with our amazing wedding day. Thank you so much, you were just brilliant from start to finish.
