Mitton Hall is a magnificent 15th Century manor house set in its own grounds in the beautiful, rolling countryside of Lancashire’s Ribble Valley. The ancient architectural features are complemented superbly by the contemporary interior design and decoration. Steeped in history, this exquisite hall is beautiful throughout the seasons; from winter weddings with roaring fires and rich, warm colour schemes to stunning summer parties spilling out onto the gardens. Feeling grand and lavish yet intimate enough for smaller affairs. We had a vision and the staff at Mitton Hall brought this to life. The events team were marvellous throughout the planning process, very personable and accommodating. On the 'big day', Joseph, Hayden, Frankie and Natasha looked after us wonderfully well and the day was everything we hoped it would be. The ceremony room was able to be adapted for our small wedding and we had our wedding breakfast in the upstairs beautiful private dining room. The venue is stunning both inside and out - so there was no need to worry about the weather. We had the most amazing, happy and relaxed wedding and couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue than Mitton Hall.Ours was an intimate wedding and we wanted to create a perfect day, not just for us but for our guests - our closest family and friends. From the first meeting with Sarah, then with Emily and the other ladies in charge of organizing it, they were excellent, professionals, sweet and truly seemed to care about our day. It didn't feel as if we were "just one more couple" getting married there. The day of the wedding, it all went perfectly smoothly. We had Chad as our event manager and he was a star. Also Emma at reception! The warmth, the timing, the way of handling all situations, it was all that we could ask for. The whole staff from Mitton Hall, everyone involved in our day, made sure to be as helpful and caring as possible, which made all the difference. The place itself is a dream, and it felt like a fairytale to get married at such a venue. I can't recommend it highly enough! Now with the new garden, it is looking great for a spring/summer wedding outdoors! Mitton Hall is the perfect place not only to have your wedding there, but also if you want to just go for an afternoon tea, or for a quiet weekend at a beautiful countryside location. DJ Zech made our wedding evening perfect.We booked Exceed events through our venue as they came highly recommended and had done events at the venue numerous times before. We uploaded some songs to their portal before the wedding to ensure that the music played on our special day was to our liking. We arranged a phone call with our assigned DJ a couple of days before our wedding. Unfortunately, our DJ contacted us the day before the phone call appointment to let us know that he had a back injury and would therefore not be able to perform at our wedding, however, we were informed that one of their other DJ’s had already been assigned to our event in their place. DJ Zech (apologies if I have misspelled his name) called us before our wedding, asked us a few questions regarding the timings of the day and if we had any special requests. He was punctual on our wedding day, introduced himself to us before the evening music began, and had everyone on the dance floor. Thank you for contributing to making our day perfect. Taster cakes were hand delivered to our home so that we could try a variety of flavours before choosing which ones we would like for our special day. We discussed in detail the design of the cake and when we saw it on our wedding day, it was perfect. The cake was delicious and many of our guests asked us who made it. All of our weddings are so different that we absolutely couldn't just pick one, the best wedding is when a couples vision comes to life and they have the most perfect day creating memories to last a lifetime.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
To enjoy it! Don't let yourselves get stressed, we are only a phone call or email away. We know it can be overwhelming but the time will pass so quickly so try not to worry too much about the small stuff - ask yourselves if you'll remember the things you're worried about after the big day, and if not - then forget about it!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We love it when couples include photos of their time together in their big day. From memory ladders, polaroids or travel photo table numbers - anything that tells us and your guests a little bit more about your love story is a YES from us!

With stunning views of the Ribble Valley and the River Ribble flowing gently by, coupled with striking architecture and impeccable design, Mitton Hall has no shortage of locations that are sure to inspire your photographer and create amazing, treasured images.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've had a few - but as always we like to keep our couples and their guests details private, so that would be telling.

All of them - it's too hard to choose!

Our evening food options might be a little earlier than midnight but they're the perfect choice for soaking up the alcohol before you stumble on up to your bedroom.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our fabulous Party Room is bathed in natural light and offers stunning riverside views, before transforming into an incredible party space by night for your evening guests.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our team are an absolute credit to the business - they all care so much about the couples and put everything in to making sure they have the best day with us!
