Nestled in secluded courtyard gardens in the heart of York, Middletons comprises of 56 beautifully decorated bedrooms spread across six historic grade two listed buildings.
Our unique celebration rooms provide the setting for an unforgettable day. With a dedicated events team and an on-site wedding co-ordinator, we only host one wedding per day meaning your date of choice is all about you and your loved one. From our wedding packages, we can cater for everyone’s tastes and make sure that every last detail is exactly how you have always imagined it to be. Enjoy delicious locally sourced menus lovingly put together by our head chef and his brigade.
Further to our packages, we hold a licence for civil ceremonies and can host up to 40 day guests down to just the 2 of you for a truly romantic ceremony. You can have bespoke exclusive use meaning the entire grounds and all of our accommodation would be yours for the big day and exciting night!

Our Classic and Elegant Packages cater from 15 to 40 day guests and 60 for the evening, all priced per person with all the essentials included. Our exclusive Fairytale Package is for exclusive use of the whole Hotel and it's 56 bedrooms, based on 40 day guests and 80 evening with all the extra details covered. We also do bespoke packages for under 15 guests.

Leading up to the wedding, Becky was fantastic she answered all our queries and helped us arrange the perfect day! Lewis coordinated the day and he was absolutely excellent, making sure that everything ran faultlessly. All the team were really good and nothing was ever too much trouble. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel during the wedding and all had a wonderful experience, the hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable.We booked Middletons Hotel for our wedding back in January 2022. Leading up to the wedding, Becky was fantastic she answered all our queries and helped us arrange the perfect day! Lewis coordinated the day and he was absolutely excellent, making sure that everything ran faultlessly. All the team were really good and nothing was ever too much trouble. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel during the wedding and all had a wonderful experience, the hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable.

We cannot praise the staff and friendliness enough. They did everything to make our stay special. The hotel is warm and welcoming, rooms are gorgeous with lots of extras and comforts. A perfect base for the city. The food is amazing, genorous portions and fabulous service. Becky the wedding coordinator was lovely, professional and couldn’t do enough for us. The food and the service was completely flawless. The portion sizes were so generous which you rarely get at weddings. Again every guest said to us how incredible...Myself and my partner had our wedding at Middletons on 29th September 2023 and we cannot express how brilliant it was. It was the perfect venue for a wedding of 40. From start to finish the whole experience booking with Middletons was seamless. Becky took the stress out of the wedding process from the start offering advice and helpful recommendations on the additional requirement’s her knowledge and expertise were very welcome and constantly kept in touch . The setting is perfect for wedding photos , beautifully kept gardens and lots of seating areas to relax after the meal all made for a memorable day that everyone enjoyed. As the Bride and groom we enjoyed the complimentary bridal suite that was waiting with champagne and chocolates it was amazing. We can fully recommend Middletons Hotel as a wedding venue for a stress free happy Memorial Day one to look back on in the future . Becky made everything feel easy to organise and with quick response times. We were made to feel really special in the run up to the wedding (including the complimentary menu tasting) and on the day itself. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We love this hotel, beautiful rooms, architecture, an amazing backdrop for a wedding with a lovely garden for the drinks reception. On top of this, the service is 5 star quality. The staff are so nice and helpful and will bend over backwards for all of their guests, nothing is too much trouble. The location for York is super central but peaceful. You and your team made everything look amazing and seamless. Everyone was polite and friendly and just yes of course. It looked magical and perfect better than we imagined it to. Our guests were thrilled with how great the service was not just on the day but those that were there for the weekend too. It was absolutely amazing we loved every moment of it and it was made perfect the entire weekend by Middleton's. It was joy to get married and have you help and guide us through the day and evening.
