The Castle Inn, Spofforth

Where do I even begin to start with how incredible our wedding day was at the Castle inn. The Castle holds a very special place in our hearts even before the wedding - it's one of our locals and my family have been visiting the pub for food and drink for many years! It felt only right that we got married there and wow was it the best decision we made. We chose a New Year's Eve wedding to bring in the new year with all of our closest friends and family and many of them were local spofforth residents which was even more special! The attention to detail, the catering and the general flow of the day was perfect and there isn't one fault we could give. If you are newly engaged and are looking at venues then I highly highly recommend you go and speak to the team and book there! It's perfect for intimate to large weddings! A big thank you to the team and our coordinator Georgia, your heart and soul went into the day and we are so grateful for everything you did for us! Happy new year to the team, you've made ours the best new years ever we will ever have. P.S. Don't forget to book the new cottage they have refurbished for bridal parties and newlyweds. It's just a one-minute walk from the main venue and is absolutely stunning. It was perfect for us to get ready in the morning and to stay there with my new husband on the night of the wedding. Everything was perfect! I couldn't recommend it enough. x

Wow I don’t even know where to begin! From the moment we went to view The Castle Inn Spofforth to our perfect winter wedding day last week the service has been incredible! From the moment we first visited and met Georgia , we knew this was the perfect venue for us! Georgia explained all the packages they could offer us but made sure it was perfect for us and exactly what we wanted! She was warm, friendly and such a loveable person! Leading up to the wedding , Georgia has always been contactable and kept in touch the whole time. She made everything super easy for us and made our planning stress free as she made sure everything was perfect! Georgia is an asset to Malvern Events and we are sad we won’t be seeing her anymore! The venue , wow it’s just stunning! Without any decorations , the venue is warm, inviting and naturally stunning! We went for a winter wedding theme and opted to have the Christmas decorations up which just complemented the venue and our theme perfect! The running of the day was faultless , the team worked tirelessly to ensure all our guests where happy and everything ran exactly as it should! The food was incredible , all our guests loved it! It was just the perfect venue for us! We had around 67 to the day and 100 to the evening and couldn’t have picked a better venue! We loved everything about it and have had so many compliments from our guests about the venue , staff, reasonable priced drinks and amazing day! We can not recommend the castle enough! They simply can not do enough for you! The wedding itself we thought was very well priced compared to a lot of venues and we received 5 star service throughout! I had a mid-week July wedding at the castle inn. We got married at All Saints Church in Spofforth which is less than 5 minutes walk from the Castle Inn. We had the most perfect day and Georgia and the team were amazing from start to finish. Georgia made the planning process so easy and helped with all the finishing touches. She thought of absolutely everything! The food was absolutely incredible, especially the canapés! The whole package was excellent value, I wouldn’t change a thing about it!

Beautiful venue with staff that go above and beyond. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, amazing food and support throughout the entire process. Highly recommended!

Our daughter had her wedding at the square and compass. It was fantastic. Saturday night the whole venue was booked. Georgia their wedding organiser set it all up. Disco, food choices, table layouts. All went smoothly. On the night, the very attentive Megan made sure we were all looked after. The pulled pork and a wonderful choice of salads gave all the guests a wide choice. Many thanks to all the staff. Best wedding ever!!!

Our wedding coordinator Georgia was brilliant, both in the build up and on the day itself. We had an absolute blast! All her hard work made what could’ve been a complicated day feel so smooth and simple for us, and we can’t thank her enough for that. All the staff are amazing at their jobs and the way they operate is perfect. Checking in with us just the right amount throughout the day, keeping us up-to-date without it being overwhelming. We were so pleased with how everything turned out and The Castle Inn was the perfect setting. The day was full of such a lovely touches, and the staff really went out of their way to do anything for us. All our guests were so complimentary of everyone during the day. We would 100% recommend Malvern Events to help plan your perfect wedding.

As soon as Georgia showed us around the venue we both agreed that it was the right wedding venue for us. Georgia and the staff at the Castle Inn were always enthusiastic and attentive to our needs and requests for our day. They were very amenable to a number of special requests we had for specific dietary requirements and personal preferences of our guests in terms of the food offered. The venue itself is very light due to the glass roof, even on a cloudy day, but still has the rustic feel that we were looking for. The castle ruins being only a short walk away also made for some beautiful photos. The half venue hire was the perfect size for our 70 day guests, plus 20 extras for the evening and we were pleased with the option to be able to use the whole garden space throughout our day (when the weather allowed!). As well as a good space for our ceremony and wedding breakfast, it transformed well into a party space for the evening with a four piece band as well as a photo booth. As the venue already has a lot of decorations, it was easy for us to bring our own stamp to the space with our florals. It was great to have rooms on site to use throughout the day to give us a space to chill in when we needed some time to ourselves. This also allowed us to share breakfast with a large proportion of our guests the morning after the wedding, including others who had stayed nearby. We had the perfect day- even the weather behaved! And we would fully recommend Georgia, the Castle Inn and Malvern Events to anybody looking for a venue.

From our very 1st walk around with Georgia, we fell in love with the venue. The relaxed atmosphere, contemporary but rustic decor was lovely and would mean that we would have minimal decorating to do. The wedding set up was managed by Georgia and the team at The Castle Inn, and their attention to detail was exceptional, I did not have to worry about anything as they had sorted everything. The day ran extremely smoothly, as Georgia and team made sure everything ran to plan!

We honestly cannot thank the team at The Castle Inn enough, you’ve totally blow us away and our wedding was everything we expected and so much more. From our first meeting to check out, you guys have been flawless. Thank you so very much for making our day so magical, the setting, the service and the food were spectacular.
