Lympne Castle is a fairytale castle on the Kent coast with magical panoramic views of the Romney Marsh & English Channel. Located a short drive from the coastal towns of Hythe & Folkestone, and with transport links to central London.
You'll have full and exclusive use of the castle and grounds from 9am - 11.30pm on the day of your wedding. Including a choice of three locations for all weathers to say 'I Do'; the stunning top & bottom lawn for outdoor lovers OR the West Wing drawing room, along with the whole of the castle grounds to capture those magical moments, and the historic Great Hall for wedding breakfast and evening party.
Transparent pricing; our pricing is split into venue hire cost and catering cost per person - allowing you to build a wedding package tailored to your budget and needs.
We offer fantastic in-house catering; menus to suit your style, with a calm and precise service. Restaurant quality and standards from an in-house kitchen and team.

Venue hire includes exclusive use of the entire castle and all function rooms - we host each element of your wedding in different parts of the castle, so you can be sure you're getting your moneys worth. Oval tables & banqueting chairs, plus all table linen, glassware, crockery and cutlery are also included.
Use of our newly refurbished bridal suite and groom room are offered to couples from 9am on the day.

The venue itself is breathtaking, all of our guests were floored at the views across the fields and the sea, and of course the beautiful castle itself. It really made us feel like we were in a fairytale wedding. Although the weather meant we had to hold the ceremony inside instead of on the lawn as we’d planned, this was not a problem at all as the indoor space is so gorgeous and looking back we wouldn’t have it any other way. The food provided was amazing, can’t recommend highly enough. They made sure everyone’s dietary needs were met, and the guests all enjoyed their meals immensely. The staff were great throughout, made everything so easy and run so smoothly. Cant recommend this venue highly enough all round!So glad we went with Lympne Castle for our wedding. The location is outstanding - a beautiful castle, stunning grounds and a view over the sea. The staff are friendly and hard working. Joy - the event manager - was fantastic to work with, and made sure our day flowed seamlessly and enjoyably. I love what the new owners have done with castle - keeping its history and beauty while adding some quirky new features such as the dog-themed bistro and medieval bar. Couldn't recommend this location more highly. Not just for weddings, but for any sort of event, or casual lunch/drink. I can’t fault the service. It was spectacular and really made our day special. I don’t think I’ve ever had service like that where the staff are so professional, personable and just amazing all round. We were aware that we didn’t hire out the venue or anything like that specifically for our wedding - it was a room in the castle so we didn’t really expect much. But the staff made us feel like we did. They even roped in some of the gardeners to pull smoke bombs for one of our pictures! The staff made every effort. Laura and Mike were great and went beyond expectations. We just have no complaints at all with anything. It was an amazing day. The castle itself is picture perfect and for us was the perfect setting. It’s rich in history and the attention to details is incredible. There’s multiple rooms of varying sizes. We had a small wedding so hired out one of the smaller rooms but it looks like they can cater to a wedding of any size. We also stayed in one of the cottages within the castle grounds along with the guests which were equally perfect. Pretty much every wedding I’ve been to the food has been mediocre at best. But the food here was great. Everybody really enjoyed the food. The kitchen obviously know what they’re doing so kudos to them. This is honestly the best place to have your wedding. You’re in very safe hands with the staff here, the castle is gorgeous (and the views!) and the we couldn’t think of a better place to do it. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
The best thing about weddings at the castle, is they're all so unique. Our most memorable wedding took place on a beautiful day in Spring, the couple were both history enthusiasts, so the castle was the perfect setting for them to say I-do. They worked with our wedding team to organise an array of entertainment for their guests such as jugglers, jesters, backgammon, giant chess and even archery. The guests were enjoying the activities so much that they didn't want to sit down for the wedding breakfast - until they caught the smell of a full hog roast with all the trimmings! It was a fantastic day and so wonderful to see the couples dreams of a medieval themed wedding come to life!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Set a budget from the start and try to stick to it! This will help you determine your guest list and will help you decide what's most important to you both.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A bride had sadly lost both her parents and was planning to walk down the aisle alone, which was very upsetting for her. When it came time to enter her groom walked down the aisle and met her and walked arm in arm with her. It was the most special moment as they walked into their married life together. There wasn't a dry eye in the room and you could tell it meant so much to the bride.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
This is a hard one as there are so many spots and areas of natural beauty surrounding the castle, however, my personal favourite would have to be the turret in the rear garden over looking the Kent coast and English Channel!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've had plenty of VIP guests over the years due to the luxury and grandeur of the castle. We've also had a few film and TV productions at the castle and Paul McCartney famously recorded at the castle with Wings.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Our Sun-dried tomato Arancini Balls are a favourite amongst guests.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
You cannot beat a delicious hog roast!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
It is a grade I listed, exclusive use castle with breathtaking views stretching from Hythe to Rye and on a clear day you can see France.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The staff, nothing is ever too much trouble and they go above and beyond for our guests!
