We had a very small wedding of 15 people, and everything was perfect! We booked superior lake-view rooms for all our guests the night before and the night of our wedding, and it made our day even more special. Laura and her team paid attention to all the small details that were important to us, and we felt like the King and Queen for our whole stay. The food was amazing and the scenery spectacular, we loved every minute!We had our amazing day at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa on the 22nd of April. From the initial meeting with Laura last year to my 90 year old grandmother on the dance floor with her glow stick at midnight, to the staff putting on the most amazing breakfast buffet the morning after...every single moment was handled with phenomenal care, attention and professionalism to make our weekend magical. It certainly was no easy feat housing 120 day guests and 200 night guests with many rowdy welsh and scottish friends and family members also staying in the hotel across the weekend. Laura and the entire hotel staff team made everyone feel so incredibly welcome from start to finish that it was the most wonderful atmosphere for our loved ones to be greeted by and we could not ask the staff to do any more. They truly went above and beyond for all our guests: from 3 years old to 90 years old. It was a weekend of joy, laughter and so many happy tears. The transition of the room was seamless, the catering to the needs of the hard-core partiers until the small hours of the morning even the fact we were able to take the whole day Friday to decorate ourselves just made everything so easy and stress free. There are so many more little things the staff did for us and our guests that are too numerous to mention in the characters left in this post. We will be forever grateful that we chose the hotel for our wedding day. The lead up to our wedding and our wedding day were no different. Absolutely nothing was a problem and there was always someone on hand to offer assistance before we even asked. Laura is a dream and her love for weddings shows in everything she does. When my hair and makeup were MIA, Laura contacted her own hairdresser and sourced a makeup artist to be on standby should they not show. Laura and the Hotel team made everything perfect. I'm pretty sure they even managed to arrange the beautiful sun-filled cloudless sky for the day! Our guests individually commended the food (even the mother-in-law who is very picky, and my vegan friend was thrilled with her meal), the relaxed feel to the whole day and that the staff couldn't do enough. My cousin (a man of few words) was gushing over how amazing the staff had treated his disabled dad, offering to help and that nothing was a problem. We all enjoy a wedding where guests arrive in helicopters. We have our own private helipad here at the hotel which is always a fun twist.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy every moment. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that time is so precious and having your loved ones surround you, as you start the new chapter in your life, is all that is important.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Every couples personal touches are most definitely my favourite part of their wedding. It helps myself get to know each couple that little bit more. Making the whole day much more personable.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We are situated in such a beautiful spot looking out at Lake Vyrnwy however, a picture on our private balcony with the tower and lake in the background is always my favourite.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We have. However no names can be mentioned.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Most definitely our handmade scones with clotted cream and Vyrnwy Jam. Delicious!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Our welsh cheeseboard with port, is a must when you have had a lovely evening of dancing and celebrating.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Without a doubt our breath-taking view of Lake Vyrnwy. No matter the weather the view is always incredible.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our team. We have a great team who work together impeccably. They provide such a such level of service that we are extremely proud of.
