The Hogs Back hotel, has 96 bedrooms which have recently been refurbished during 2023. We have a range of classic double, standard double and twin rooms, family rooms and of course our beautiful split level suite - which offers the perfect setting for your wedding preparations. Guests staying at the hotel also have complimentary access to our leisure club and spa facilities - offering the perfect excuse for an extended stay either before or after your big day.
Your wedding reception will take place in our Park Suite, with its own dedicated entrance, private bar and reception area which will be exclusively yours for the day. The park suite also has direct access to our well-kept gardens where our Gazebo is located, ideal for outdoor ceremonies in the summer or a beautiful setting for romantic sunset photographs to keep your memories alive forever. The hotel also has 3 other areas licensed for civil ceremonies including the Ballroom, Conservatory and Garden room.
We have a number of packages available which can be taylor made to suit you both, so if you don’t see something you want please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you! – Our packages are based on 50 people but we can hold up to 160 seated guests.
We are very fortunate to have some amazing partners and suppliers included within the cost of our wedding packages, such as Sweetbuds chair covers and sashes, Professional Toastmaster John and Enigma Entertainment, our resident DJ. Which means, in the lead up to your big day you will have one less thing to worry about! Of course, these can be excluded from the packages should you wish to use your own suppliers, but they come highly recommended and we have always had amazing feedback from our previous wedding couples.
Planning a wedding can be an exciting but daunting task which is why I can assure you that from your very first appointment we will be with you every step of the way to make sure that your big day is everything you imagine it to be and more. So, when the big occasion finally arrives you will be worry free and will be able to make the most of one the most memorable days of your lives!

Our wedding coordinator Emily was friendly, courteous and organised from the very start and was receptive to everything we suggested. Nothing was ever too much for her - and the same goes for the staff at the Hog's Back as a whole - and her communication in the two years leading up to the special day was fantastic. It's hard to recall "the best wedding" at the Hogs Back, every wedding is so unique, they are all the best in their very own way!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember it's your day - how things are usually done should be seen as a template not a rule book!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We had a wedding where the couples seating plan was based on locations from their travels and they had homemade sloe gin as a favour! I love all the personal touches as that's what makes the day so special.
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are so many to choose from it's hard to pick our favourite. But you can't beat the confetti shot on the Ballroom steps, or a sunset shot in our beautiful gazebo!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've had a few but we would never gossip!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Quail egg and asparagus tartlet 100%!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Bacon Baps!

Outdoor ceremony setting in our Gazebo, overlooking the fields and hogs back brewery hops!

We are a very close knit team who work together like clockwork, we aren't just colleagues we are a family who will go above and beyond to make everything we do a huge success.
