Description

It’s rare to find a country manor house, with bedrooms, with such a national reputation for food. We're an expansive manor house that is also Number 12 in the Top 50 Boutique Hotels in the UK, beloved by the design press. With 15 uniquely individual bedrooms, two acclaimed restaurants, winners of UK wine list of the year, cookery school, walled garden and artisan bakery, we're more than just a venue. We're a place to write your own story, with all the sensory touches at your fingertips to create that remarkable sense of wonder. Our two restaurants include Grace & Savour which holds a Michelin-star and is set in our Victorian walled garden. Our second restaurant KYND, with menus written by our Michelin-starred chefs, serves up hearty, feasting food perfect for a wedding celebration. We're just one hour from London on the train, surrounded by 45 acres of garden and countryside. Hampton Manor may be grand on the outside but explore within and you'll find a lovingly restored country manor, refreshingly reimagined. It's all the little details, from contemporary craftsmanship to cosy corners, that give this a real sense of home for you on your wedding day. The Courtyard where you will feast for your wedding breakfast is surrounded by the original stone walls. It combines the charm of history with the contemporary appeal of a bright and airy glass atrium. Outside, the Courtyard has its own private heated terrace with sofas. At Hampton Manor, we host both micro weddings and larger weddings for up to 132. Choose a one night wedding or our long weekend packages, ending with a summer BBQ or a warming winter Sunday roast in our walled garden for your goodbye lunch. All our packages include 15 bedrooms overnight and we have a 4 bedrooms house for you to stay in the night before your wedding as well.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

One of the unique elements of our venue is our glass roofed atrium which fills with natural light, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors, whatever the English weather! We had a beautiful wedding where the couple took full advantage of this and created an outdoors-in feeling, draping the glass ceiling in flowing greenery to create the look of a whimsical forest. The wedding courtyard is all natural and neutral so it lets you fill it with your vision, without compromise. But because of the historic stone walls and glass ceiling, this is not a blank canvas that is sterile- rather, it's full of character, light and grace.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Create a journey for your guests. When you have a whole house to explore, each scene creates a fresh surprise for your guests. Give each part of your day a story that runs through the whole day.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One bride wrote a personal letter to each of her guests as part of their favours on the table. That's what weddings are all about for us - celebrating each other.

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Contemporary, delicious, attentive, thoughtful, laid-back luxe.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

4 acer trees in front of our historic clock tower bloom bright red twice a year to create a dramatic backdrop.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We're a hideaway for famous foodies, who love to eat at our restaurant. Michel Roux, James Martin and Tom Kerridge have all cooked with us as well.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Berkswell cheddar custard on onion cracker. We're often inspired by childhood flavours and weddings should also have some nostalgia built into them!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Wagyu beef or gourmet hot dogs with our own McManor toppings.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our Michelin-starred restaurant - its very rare for a Michelin starred restaurant to be able to host 130 guests in such beautiful countryside surroundings.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our team. They care for their couples like their friends and go out of their way to create an experience, throughout the whole planning process, as well as the day.
