Grittleton House

We found Grittleton House online and went to visit in November 2023, a month after our engagement. We went in with an open mind, and left having chosen our venue. Emma and Nelson were our main contacts and the communication was exceptional. Emma made sure we had everything we needed and helped us with the planning, so nothing was left out! Every element of our special day was perfect - from the venue itself, the staff, the food and how well everyone was looked after. Thank you to everyone again for such a perfect day. Nelson, Emma and the staff were extremely helpful with every aspect of the wedding (especially things we didn’t even know existed!). Their experience and great personalities ensured the day went smoothly and made certain we enjoyed the day. They were extremely accommodating with what we wanted to do throughout our day. Obviously it’s the most stunning location, inside the venue and out, but the staff make sure the quality stays at the highest level. There are so many different areas for different photos and every room and garden is just perfect. Finally the food, every single guest couldn’t say anymore good things about the food. It was simply stunning! So much so we’re bringing the family back for Grittletons Christmas festivities.

We were married at Grittleton House on 23rd December 2024 and it was AMAZING. But breaking that down a little - Emma is extremely efficient, full of good ideas and always gets things done. Along with Nelson's support, and the rest of the team, our day ran like clockwork. We honestly didn't have to worry or think about a single thing on the day, and the few thoughts we did have, were already in hand. The House suited us perfectly, as we wanted one roof to get married under, have our wedding breakfast and then party, and what a roof that was! Grittleton has a fantastic interior/decor and literally every guest complimented the venue and the fabulous food that went with it. We cannot speak highly enough of Emma, Nelson, the team or indeed the House. If Grittleton House is on your shortlist, book it now! You won't be disappointed.

Our hearts are bursting with love and joy after Saturday and we are on absolute cloud 9. So much of that is a credit to you guys and your absolutely breathtaking venue. The compliments I received on the venue, the staff (specific shoutouts to fantastic Nelson and Ben), the food, the drinks, the timings and organisation were completely endless (I heard “best wedding I’ve ever been to” a LOT!). Thank you for giving Jack and I the best day of our lives. We could not have asked for anything better.

Wow. Amazing is an understatement. I cannot thank the whole team enough for making our wedding day truely one of the most special days of our lives. A special shout out to Emma for her organisation skills and Nelson for his brilliant personality and all around fun. The bedrooms are just perfect, the food was 10/10, the gardens are stunning. Our whole day went to plan with no issues.

The venue looked beautiful, the bedrooms were stunning & most comfortable, the food was simply delicious & the service was excellent. We were particularly impressed with the service staff, being numerous, pleasant & very well managed. Grittleton House is a most impressive wedding venue & you all went above & beyond expectations to make the wedding celebration so special & memorable for them We wish you & all the team at Grittleton continued success – you have certainly got a winning formula!

From the moment we walked into Grittleton House for the first time, we were in awe of how beautiful it was and Emma was the most knowledgeable and efficient coordinator imaginable. From the open houses to food tasting evenings we built an incredible connection to Grittleton as we planned our wedding. Then the day arrived. It ran like absolutely clockwork, the venue was immaculate, Emma was a guiding light and there is not a single thing I would change.

Thank you for all your hard work to ensure we had the perfect wedding day! We were blowen away by our special day – everything was incredible. The most beautiful location with stunning gardens, delicious food, a very well stocked bar(!) and the most specular bedrooms. We have received so many cards and letters expressing what an amazing day it was, we felt like we were entertaining friends at home, everything was so relaxed and comfortable.
