Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime moment filled with love, joy, and treasured memories. Our dedicated wedding team will be on hand to help you craft an occasion that is individual, uplifting, and memorable. The morning of the wedding me and my maid of honour were bought a beautiful breakfast up to the room with pastries and prosecco.The wedding itself ran so smooth, there was never a moment we didnt know what we were doing and everyone was so patient and kind. The morning after the wedding we had breakfast which was delicious! Then all of our flowers,guestbook and anything else was packed up by the venue and neatly left down at the garden suit for us to collect. If I had to do it all again, it would be Gorse Hill every time. We had the absolute best day, nothing was too much, from the night before with me and my maid of honour right to the morning after the wedding, everything was perfect. The lunch room was beautifully setup, the service ran like clockwork and the food was excellent. The cake had a beautiful stand. The flowers and card box strategically placed. The hotel accommodation was excellent with a very beautiful and spacious room. Our family and friends enjoyed their stay very much and so did we. This included capturing group photos, hiring a Photo Booth as well as a sax player, and having adult games on the grass area (even though the weather prevented us from using them). The venue were able to accommodate for bad weather too, which helped us still have the best day. All the staff were friendly and helpful not only on the day, but in the months leading up to our wedding too. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
One of our favourite weddings took place in the Garden Suite, and it was just magical from start to finish. The ceremony was out on the lawn, surrounded by bright, blooming flowers, it felt like something out of a fairytale. As the sun set, fairy lights lit up the garden, giving everything a warm, romantic glow. Inside, the suite was styled to perfection with lush florals, soft candlelight, and elegant table settings that wowed the guests. A live band kept the energy high and added such a personal touch with one of the singer being a Bridesmaid! It was the perfect mix of elegance and intimacy, full of laughter, happy tears, and unforgettable moments.

Don’t get overwhelmed by the details and stress of wedding planning, focus on what truly brings you joy and create a day that feels truly magical and uniquely yours.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Beyond just dogs walking down the aisle, one of our lovely couples had printed their furry friends on gorgeous napkins for their wedding breakfast, making them true members of the celebration. We thought it was so adorable!!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are too many dreamy photo spots to count! But our top picks would have to be our elegant Juliet balcony above the majestic Edwardian Mansion steps and at dusk, the pine-tree pathway lit with fairy lights and sparklers turns into cinematic magic!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Word has it a few hush‑hush VIP's have quietly celebrated at Gorse Hill over the year, strictly behind closed doors, of course.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Ooh, tough choice! But if we had to pick, we'd go with the Rose of Smoked Salmon on mini blinis with avruga caviar and dill dressing. It's a classic that never fails to impress. That said, the Vegan feta, avocado mousse & cherry tomato tart is a close contender.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We absolutely adore a slow-roasted pulled pork roll with all the trimmings from our Texas Pork Buffet, it’s the ultimate comfort food to keep the party vibes going!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Where do I even begin? Gorse Hill is bursting with unique features from our grand fireplaces and tranquil gardens to the stunning bedrooms. But if I had to pick one standout, it would be the Juliet balcony off the bridal suite.
Our charming balcony offers a private spot for the happy couple to step out and soak in the serene views, It's the perfect place to share a quiet moment together or capture a romantic photo.
