They were nothing short of excellent. Top highlights: - The venue is beautiful. It's the first thing my guests commented on and it really set the scene for an amazing day. - The communication was absolutely top-notch. As all brides know, this is an incredibly stressful time and you have questions about the most inane things! Nevertheless, Emily and the rest of the Gisborough Hall team were incredibly responsive to my many emails. I had complete confidence that they were on top of things and we could be flexible to ensure the day was just right. - Great value for money - I got married 5 months after getting engaged so was working to a tight timeline. I was able to book the Glass House for a small fee and then arranged for a banquet menu for my micro-wedding (31 guests) and a master of ceremonies on the day. Despite not being a standard wedding package, I received all the care and attention one would expect of a bigger wedding for which I am eternally grateful. The one thing I would do a bit differently is to do a tasting ahead of time - this sounds obvious but I'm not local anymore and relied on Gisborough Hall's stellar reputation and had a picture in my mind for certain items e.g., the beef roast was more on rare side (if I had tried it ahead of time I would have asked for it to be more medium/well done which I'm sure they could have accommodated) and the bakewell tart was more of a cake, and as I was serving wedding cake later, I would have selected a slightly different dessert. Overall, I had a beautiful day and was all smiles. I would recommend Gisborough Hall to anyone in a heartbeat. From the first enquiry the staff were fantastic & they continued to go above and beyond our expectations throughout and on the day itself. The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with views across the countryside and the rooms we used for our wedding were traditional and grand. The whole day couldn’t have been better & I can’t recommend Gisbrough Hall enough! We booked Gisbrough hall because we were familiar with the venue & it is very beautiful. The room we stayed in (Rose room) was stunning, I felt like I was in Bridgerton! Gorgeous free standing bath, four poster bed & stunning views! The staff were amazing, so helpful & nothing was too much trouble. They thought of everything and so many of our guests commented on how fabulous they and the hotel were. We can’t thank them enough & would recommend Gisborough Hall 100%! Absolutely fantastic experience having our wedding celebration & staying at Gisborough Hall. First of all the location is just stunning and made the perfect backdrop for photos. The glasshouse where we had our ceremony is simply beautiful and unlike anything else in the area (believe me, we looked)! The biggest selling point for us with Gisborough Hall was everything that was included with the booking. We got seat covers, menu cards, place cards, the table plan and the flowers for the ceremony table included and arranged by the staff there which left us with a few fewer things to think about and we knew that the vendors would be reputable as they work with the hotel all of the time. During the planning process we were so happy that nothing seemed too big of an ask - we had two different seating plans and ran our day slightly different to usual. There are food choices to suit everyone but we opted for afternoon tea as our wedding breakfast and everything was delicious! We were particularly impressed with the children's afternoon tea which included jam sandwiches and was presented so sweetly. All of the food at the hotel is delicious and we really liked having the opportunity to visit for a tasting beforehand. Breakfast is also included when you stay over and is very tasty. The staff organised for our guests to have a separate room for breakfast the next morning to let the wedding magic continue a little longer. Speaking of staff, everyone was extremely friendly from the staff at reception, the restaurant staff and of course the staff who looked after our wedding party, particularly Mark, Maxine and Katie. We can't thank Gisborough Hall enough for making our day so special for us and all of our friends and family. The venue was spectacular and really accommodating, we are hearing nothing but good things from all our guests. Mark and Katie were fantastic on the day and Bethany was incredible in helping us plan it earlier.
