The venue is set in its own private road and includes 1500 sq ft roof top terrace. It has a wealth of industrial chic backdrops and includes a large kitchen area, a charming conservatory, a dressing room and several large studio spaces with lots of quirky and stylish furniture pieces and art props including numerous sofas which can be utilised.
The building also boasts full height roller shutter access, toilets on each floor, ample parking and a cosy garden space. The big open, attractive commercial kitchen can be used for event catering.

The party wedding of the year, at Asylum and One Friendly Place went ahead and it was awesome. One Friendly Place is a huge warehouse, that’s usually a photo studio but makes an incredible South London wedding venue. The space and quirky furniture meant that we could create environments for our guests that would be difficult to achieve in other venues. The staff - Rash and Steph - were extremely helpful both prior to the wedding, and on the day. They were extremely friendly and contributed immensely to our special day. Someone installed a wild forest with loads of trees and flowers in the venue. We welcome the unusual and you can be as creative as you want in the space.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't be put off by dry hire. It is not much more work than a package venue and it gives you much more freedom to showcase your personalities.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One wedding hung garlands of origami birds all around the venue which looked amazing. There were over a thousand multi coloured birds that were meticulously folded by relatives and must have taken a lot of time.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The venue is designed with photographic backgrounds in mind so there are many. The roof is particularly good though with a view over the city.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Maybe but all guests are equal in our eyes
What’s your favourite canapé?
I'm partial to a deviled egg
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
My favourite treat is anything with good quality plain chocolate but I try not to eat it at midnight.

It's flexibility on how it can be used, plus the interesting furniture, props and artworks scattered about
