Have your twilight ceremony, celebration drinks, a relaxed buffet and then party the night away with up to 60 guests.
Fonmon has been a fortress, a hunting lodge, a party palace and a glorious family home, and it’s guaranteed to make you feel like nobility on your special day.
The ceremony can take place in a thatched hut in the scented garden, in front of the dramatic, fairytale-style watchtower which sits near the castle's romantic hidden Victorian garden, or in the castle's grand library.
Handfastings, renewals of vows, and other weddings not requiring a license can take place anywhere on the estate, subject to agreement.
In terms of caterers, music, entertainment and the styling of the wedding, the Fonmon team are flexible and can offer trusted local suppliers or accommodate whatever the couple wishes to source themselves.
We are not only here for traditionally styled weddings, but we also encourage couples to get creative and shape a big day that truly reflects their personalities.
Fonmon is homely, not austere and lends itself to relaxed weddings with a difference, so whether you want paintballing, cosplay, or to bring llamas to the ceremony, we are here to help bring it all to life.

They bent over backwards to make sure that we had nothing short of what we saw as the perfect wedding. Nothing ever seemed too much effort for Hannah and it was because of her and the team that we were able to relax and actually enjoy our wedding day. Fonmon Castle as a venue is not only interesting, but also stunning. The staff (especially Hannah) were absolutely incredible- always on hand to answer any queries, so professional and most importantly so lovely! We will always remember our wedding day at Fonmon as the best day of our lives, and I know our guests had a wonderful time too. Every wedding is special but the bride who came back 15 years after being a bridesmaid at the Castle (and vowing then that she would get married with us) was especially touching.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Focus your spending on the elements that you and your guests will really remember - amazing food and drink, awesome music and the best photographer you can afford (as your photos will outlast everything else)!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One couple's adorable Staffie rescue dog as their ring bearer - we'd practised a lot and he started off walking sedately up the aisle, but couldn't help himself and galloped the last 10 feet!!!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are too many to choose from but our favourites have to be the lawns with the Castle as a backdrop, our Scented Garden and the Folly - and you can make your vows in these incredible spots too!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Definitely, we've had royalty and Hollywood stars, but we totally respect our guests privacy and we can't reveal any names....
What’s your favourite canapé?
Anything with smoked salmon....
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Bacon sarnies every time!

Our stunning walled gardens, medieval village and incredible Castle backdrop

We have the most stunning grounds and such a super friendly team, its the most impressive home from home you can imagine!
