The venue was beautifully decorated exactly how we envision it to be. Everyone of our guests commented on the superb food that was served for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. The barman who worked the evening was so jolly and smiling all through the evening. Ashton was so helpful and organised on the run up to our wedding and on the day itself. The bridal Suite was lovely and the colour changing bathroom was amazing. The Devon Suite with its beams and twinkling lights was beautifully decorated for our evening reception and amazing outside space as well. We had a wonderful wedding day. We thoroughly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for there wedding. The best wedding ever!Me and my husband got married here in May 2022 and it was incredible, everything ran so smoothly and Ashton and all the staff were incredible in every way, nothing was to much trouble, the maintenance team were on hand to hand up decorations etc. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, I would 100% recommend this venue for your wedding, worth every Penny! The staff could not be more accommodating, in particular the events manager - she went above and beyond for us. The planning could not have been easier due to Ashton's organisation and helpful suggestions, she guided us through everything. We don't live locally and she accommodated zoom meetings and me sending my mum and sister to look around on my behalf. We booked the Shaldon Suite for the night before the wedding so the bridal party could prepare there, and I'm so glad I did. It was beautiful, spacious and has a whirlpool bath which really helped with my nerves! Ashton was there bright and early on the morning of the wedding and even salvaged my disaster DIY seating plan. I was confident that everything would go smoothly because she was so organised. The decorations were absolutely beautiful and many people commented on how lovely the Devon Suite was with the twinkly lights and beams. The real talking point was the food. It was absolutely delicious. I was worried that the quality would not not be the same as when we tried the food just the two of us, however if anything it was better. It was all delivered hot and beautifully presented, and was so plentiful! No one went hungry! The grounds behind the Devon Suite were lovely and we were able to take some lovely photos. All of the staff members were friendly and professional, someone commented that the bar man had a smile on his face all night. When the evening buffet appeared I wasn't sure that anyone would be able to eat more, however it was so delicious that everyone tucked in regardless.. With the packages that were offered, I think it is just the best value. We got so much for our money, I was so impressed. We were awful with our ideas and not fast to do anything but Ashton kept us excited and positive about our day. The venue itself is a beautiful location close to the a38/a380 but not that you'd notice! The venue is modern and classy looking with everything you need on site. (Two seperate rooms to use one for the ceremony which inturn turns into your evening reception and one for your food which by the way was absolutely delicious and fully catered by the hotel). The outdoor space is great for photos but also for outside entertainment. There is also ample accommodation for guests and the bride and groom. We just had the best experience it makes us want to do it all over again. We loved our wedding at the Exeter Court Hotel. Ashton our wedding planner from the venue was fantastic in everywhere.
