Samlesbury Hall is a stately mansion wedding venue in Preston, Lancashire, that plays host to weddings and other special occasions. Facilities and capacity
Among the facilities found at Samlesbury Hall, you can find splendid gardens, chapels and banquet halls with centuries of history that includes witchcraft, ghosts and more. The Whittaker Room offers beautiful carved paneling and was once originally a private chapel. It has the capacity for up to 90 guests and serves as a great ceremony location.
The Great Hall is used for wedding breakfasts or receptions but can also be transformed into a ceremony site which can accommodate up to 120 guests. The Parlour is perfect for small, intimate weddings or reception drinks and is licensed to accommodate up to 25 guests.
Exclusive use of the grounds ensures only you and your guests get to experience the character of the festoon lit Italianate courtyard and meticulously landscaped gardens with the ornate detail adding to the grandeur of Samlesbury hall.

The cuisine found at this Tudor venue include dishes created with the finest ingredients and locally sourced whenever possible. The expert culinary team can cater to 150 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 250 for an evening reception. Bespoke dishes are available upon request. Samlesbury Hall have completely nut free kitchen facilities and will cater to all dietary and allergen requirements.
Accommodation
This venue offers exclusive accommodation for you and your guests to relax after your wedding day. It includes Shepherd's Huts and The Gatehouse and the incredible Southworth Spa. Shepherd's Huts are a unique option to traditional guest rooms with a rustic yet luxurious setting and great amenities. The Gatehouse is a 4-star bridal suite accommodation which includes a double bedroom, dressing room with full length mirrors and bathroom with a double shower and standalone bath. The Southworth Spa offers a private and intimate space offering an exclusive and personal wellness experience, featuring facilities that include a wood fired hot tub, sauna and cold pull bucket alongside a luxury double Shepherd hut. We are so lucky to have such a striking building, our black & white quatrefoiled Hall is a photographer's dream. There are also several gorgeous spots in our grounds - the manicured front lawn, the rose gardens & the pretty festoon lit courtyard to name a few! Don't worry if the weather takes a turn for the worse, our oak panelled 14th century rooms will make a perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs.

Samlesbury Hall is a registered charity (no 526052), meaning that any money we make goes straight back into the Hall to ensure it is kept open for future generations. We have been hosting weddings for over 50 years and we have seen families grow as they come back to visit! The weddings we host are vital in keeping our historic Hall open, but there's nothing we love more!
