We had the most perfect, stressfree wedding. Our dream was to have the ceremony outside but with the British weather we weren't sure it would happen. Chester and the team prepared both the chapel and the lawn "just in case". Luckily the weather played ball and we had the most glorious outside ceremony. The rest of the day just fell into place. The guests loved the venue, the atmosphere and the food. The afternoon tea went down a storm and was a definite talking point. We cannot thank Chester and the team enough for everything they did to ensure our day was one to remember. A quick shout out to the young waitress who dropped some drinks and ended up in tears - please don't worry about it, nobody was hurt, nothing was broken and you ruined nothing. Our wedding day at Samlesbury Hall on December 2, 2023, was nothing short of a fairytale. This stunning, black and white medieval house, dating back to 1325, provided a breathtaking backdrop for our special day. Despite the cold, frosty weather, the sun shone brilliantly, adding to the magical atmosphere. The star of our experience was Sharon, our wedding coordinator and manager of the hall. From the very first meeting, her warmth, passion, and dedication were evident. She ensured that every detail was perfect, making us feel that our day was as important to her as it was to us. Her high standards and meticulous attention to detail were mirrored by her team, leaving no room for error. Rebecca, Sharon's second-in-command, was a behind-the-scenes miracle worker. Her seamless orchestration of the day's events made her our guardian angel. Chester, the night manager, was exceptional, especially when he adeptly moved our first dance forward for my husband's grandmother. His attentiveness and care were evident throughout the evening. Special mentions go to Jenny, who was instrumental in the lead-up to the wedding, and Maria, who brought life and laughter to the early morning preparations. Lynn's ever-smiling presence in the office was also greatly appreciated. The food and drink were another highlight. Everything was served promptly, hot, and delicious, with the staff continuously refilling glasses. The venue's facilities, including ample parking and the cozy gatehouse accommodation and on-site huts, added to the overall comfort of our guests and us. What sets Samlesbury Hall apart is its exclusivity on your wedding day, combined with its vibrant daily activities like fairs, cafes, and tours. This means we can revisit and relive our memories, which is a rare feature for wedding venues. We got married at Samlesbury Hall and what an amazing venue! We had a a amazing day! The staff (Rebecca, Jenny and Chester) couldn’t have looked after us enough on the day and made us feel very special!

We loved the grounds and the atmosphere in the hall. The staff were great and we loved the idea of having our guests stay in the shepherds’ huts. The whole day just ran so smoothly and was everything that we could have hoped for. The Samlesbury Hall team were fabulous throughout the process including emails, meet ups and then leading the day. The hall on the day was breathtaking and we had some many people tell us it was the most beautiful venue they had been to. We truly had the most amazing wedding and it honestly exceeded every expectation we could have had. We literally gasped when we first saw how the dining hall had been decorated. We found Samlesbury whilst browsing for wedding venues in Lancashire. We loved the Hall's aesthetic and thought it would be good to view it. It was beautiful - we liked the on-site accommodation, the fact we got exclusive venue hire and the hall itself. A huge thank you to everyone at Samlesbury Hall who helped us have our dream wedding and to all of our suppliers! Everything ran so smoothly and it was certainly a day to remember! From the moment we viewed Samlesbury Hall as a possible wedding venue, we fell in love with it. The building was striking, the staff were very accommodating and the fact we'd have exclusive hire of the venue was perfect. The on site accommodation was also an added bonus. Before our wedding, we were able to have a food tasting with our family and had a few meetings booked in to discuss our wedding plans! On the day, everyone complimented our choice of venue. It was beautiful. The team at Samlesbury were very attentive throughout the day, they decorated the room as we had discussed and it was perfect. They made sure everyone was where they should be at the appropriate time and helped manoeuvre guests to the appropriate room when big events such as the first dance / cake cutting begun. The day ran so seamlessly, our guests even commented on this afterwards! I'd highly recommend booking Samlesbury Hall as your venue, you'll have an unforgettable experience and your day will run smoothly thanks to an amazing team!

Graham and Hannah made an appointment with Samlesbury Hall on a wet October afternoon. The building is truly beautiful and steeped with history. After a wonderful tour from Rebecca, Hannah burst into tears. The day was truly perfect, the ceremony was truly special. The wedding Breakfast was fantastic, not only with gorgeous food, speaking of which, I would definitely recommend the beef and I had the best cheesecake that I have ever eaten.
