Why settle for one style of venue when you can have both? Our charming 18th century thatched barn is perfect for romantic ceremonies and intimate wedding meals. Ivy Hall is an impressive space with stylish decor nestled within trees and gardens and exclusive for your wedding party.
The barn is licensed for up to 85 guests for a wedding ceremony and Ivy Hall can seat up to 220 for a wedding ceremony and sit down meal.
All our evening parties/receptions beyond 5pm take place in Ivy Hall, unless you have exclusive access.

We made this decision in April and, with the invaluable help of the Ivy House Hotel wedding organiser, got married on 14th August. She recommended the Master of Ceremonies/DJ who was excellent from the beginning of the wedding ceremony to the last few people at the end of the evening. The bbq we had satisfied everyone. The weather was wonderful so guests could take full advantage of the gardens and air conditioned hall. A truly magical dayMy partner and I decide to get married after being together for 37 years! The venue is the perfect setting for a wedding with beautiful grounds and gorgeous buildings that work perfectly for a ceremony and a reception. Everything went if without a hitch, we literally didn’t worry about anything, everything was planned to perfection. Our wedding coordinator Hannah was a star from booking right the way through until our wedding day. We’re extremely grateful for her putting us at ease every step of the way. From start to finish everyone at Ivy house couldn’t of done enough for us, a special thank you to Hannah, nothing was too much for her and all our questions were answered straight away, whether it was via email or WhatsApp. Hannah was there throughout our day and made sure the day ran smoothly. The wedding breakfast was fantastic, the food was amazing and everyone commented on how nice everything was. The accommodation was perfect for what we needed, our families stayed at Ivy house for 2 nights and couldn’t fault anything. The grounds around the venue are beautiful, whether you’re getting married in the summer or winter, the pictures will be amazing. Our DJ Nick Chatten was the recommend DJ from Ivy house and he was fantastic, he knew the venue and read the room, we would highly recommend. To everyone at Ivy house, thank you all so much for making our day so perfect, we couldn’t have asked for anything more! The best day we could have ever imagined. Hannah, Carenza and all the staff were extremely pleasant to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. The barn was the most beautiful setting and the private gardens over by hall really did feel like we were in a fairy tale in our own little world. They honestly couldn’t have done anything more to make us and our guests more comfortable. The food was incredible and was plenty to go around. From the initial viewing to the big day the communication was great. They had all the timings set out and made everything incredibly stress-free! - if we could give more than 5 stars we absolutely would. 💜 so Thank You to the Ivy House Country Hotel for everything - you made our day everything we wished for and more, and we are forever grateful ✨What can we say about the Ivy House? The planning process was relaxed and organised, Hannah was so helpful and great at every stage of our planning process. Everyone on the day could not do enough for us and we are so grateful to all the staff for making our day so perfect from start to finish. The grounds were beautiful and so spacious, we have some beautiful pictures to come! Would definitely recommend this to anyone starting their wedding planning journey! We also hired all of our wedding vendors through the Ivy House wedding fayre’s so these are also great to attend!!! The Ivy House Country Hotel hosted our wedding reception in the Ivy Hall on Saturday 10th August and it was nothing other than perfection. It all started a year and a half ago when we booked our date with Hannah Javes. Nothing was too much trouble and she was amazing organising the admin side. Communication was excellent. Then our wedding coordinator on the day Emma and her daughter Caitlin plus the other waitresses and staff were phenomenal setting up and doing everything they could to make sure our day went to plan. It certainly did! The three course sit down meal and bbq was excellent and everyone was so complimentary so thank you to the Chef! The service was so complimentary. Myself and the bridal party got ready in The Rose Suite on the wedding morning and it has the perfect space to get ready in. The organisation of decor was fantastic and I didn’t have to worry about anything whilst I was getting ready. I had Emma’s mobile number and we communicated well. The honeymoon suite was clean, tidy, beautiful and had a lovely view onto the lawn with some decking. - EEmma & Tim06/11/2024Very happy day!Very happy day!Ivy House provided a beautiful setting for our wedding with plenty of accommodation on site and a dedicated wedding space for our evening party that meant no other guests were nearby. Our dog was allowed to be with us for the ceremony, which was an absolute must for us so we were really pleased the venue could accommodate! We had lovely barbecue food plated to the tables which was tasty but still fairly casual rather than “posh” which was exactly what we wanted as we are fussy eaters and we had a lot of children at the wedding. The children who attended absolutely loved Ivy Hall as they had space to run around, dance and get out some big floor puzzles and stay entertained. It was very family friendly and I was so pleased to see the kids having so much fun. The staff on the day couldn’t have been more helpful - if I asked for something they provided it and they were all really friendly. We had good comments from our guests about the staff at the hotel as well! Getting ready at the venue was also really great; as we had a dedicated dressing room with lots of space for hair and makeup and a curtained area for changing. My 4 year old niece really enjoyed the selection boxes of cereal and the continental breakfast we got on the morning of the wedding! When it comes to venue hunting don't be afraid to ask for something that's not being offered. When it comes to food in particular a lot of venues will be happy to accommodate your special requests.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The summerhouse overlooking the water is my favourite photo spot. I've seen it dressed up with fairy lights and it looks magical at night.

What’s your favourite canapé?
My favourite would have to be the honey mustard sausage and mash
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
You can't beat a salty bacon roll to soak up all of the alcohol

Our 18th original barn filled with natural light, you don't expect one of those in most hotels!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of our service, unlike a big chain, we're a small independent business that treats every wedding like it's our first and last.
