Within the Castle we can host civil ceremonies and celebrations to suit any style of wedding whether you are looking for something more traditional, informal or extravagant. As well as the reception rooms, there are also numerous unique features including the spectacular Cantilevered Stairway, Central Stone Staircase with decorative ceiling, captivating cloisters and hidden doorways.

We are pleased to be able to offer both indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony. The Chapel is perfect for a traditional style ceremony or blessing, with huge stained glass windows, pews and an ornate painted ceiling. The Central Courtyard offers a magnificent outdoor setting, with ornamental trees and views down to the Gatehouse, surrounded by original crenelation.

For your reception, the castle is a fantastic entertaining space with great versatility. Welcome your guests in the Library, with glorious views and steps down to the South Lawns. Here they can enjoy drinks and canapes. The grand Ballroom is a spectacular location for the wedding breakfast. With tall ceilings, lavish chandeliers and grand mirrors it offers the perfect backdrop for your first meal as a married couple. We have carefully created our menus to include a wide variety of exciting dishes, beautifully presented, using only the highest quality ingredients, which are locally sourced wherever possible. There is also a ceremonial sword to cut your wedding cake.

The castle grounds boast a wide array of settings offering endless possibilities for exquisite couples photographs, including access to the neighbouring Hampton Gardens for couples photography. These include stunning water features, island pavilions, a waterfall and a 200 year old Wisteria Arch. The Gothic Tower at the centre of the maze offers panoramic views of the estate. There are 25 spacious guest bedrooms, for family and friends to stay, including a ground floor accessible bathroom. It also includes breakfast in the impressive formal Dining Room the following morning.

Hampton Court Castle was truly a once-in-a-lifetime wedding venue and exceeded every expectation we had. From the very beginning of planning to the seamless execution over our wedding weekend, the entire team delivered with professionalism, warmth, and the type of "behind the scenes" expertise you want. We hosted our wedding as a two-night affair with all of our guests staying on-site in the castle, and that decision made the experience unforgettable. It gave everyone the chance to explore the castle and grounds, spend quality time together, and settle into the celebratory atmosphere. By the end, a LOT of guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended. The castle itself is a surreal experience —having the entire property to ourselves made it feel both magical and deeply personal. The gardens, the Great Halls, and the Various Rooms and passageways, every part contributes to how iconic this venue is. Beyond the grandeur of the venue, we were consistently impressed by the team’s efforts. Every detail—from catering to bar staff, Rob and Lydia on the planning team —was handled flawlessly. We had our wedding at Hampton Court Castle and it was truly the best day of our lives. From start to finish, everything ran so smoothly, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter, and the staff went above and beyond — always making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about it — many said it was the best party of their lives, and we couldn’t agree more! The stunning setting, exceptional service, and magical energy of the day made it unforgettable. In its almost 600 years of history, the castle may even have witnessed its very first Brazilian bottle dance, which brought the house down! The dramatic approach down the tree-lined drive, the fabulous stone staircase and historical artefacts, the romantic rose garden: every corner of the venue feels cinematic. We found Hampton Castle by accident online in December 2023, a month or so following our engagement. I absolutely loved the look of it from the website so we booked a visit, even though it was about 3 hours drive from our home! When we first saw the Castle, we were absolutely in love with the venue. Rob showed us around and we were taken back by how stunning the Castle was, maintaining its history. We particularly loved the exclusivity of the Castle as our wedding venue. Each room would be used for a different purpose and all parts of the Castle were stunning! We soon discussed after a few days that we wanted to lock our date in for April 2025, the deposit was paid and that was it (the only venue we had seen!). Throughout the wedding planning process, Rob, Lydia and Izzy were excellent. Emails were always answered so promptly with any queries, and the use of the online portal made organising as easy and smooth as possible. We were invited for our food tasting afternoon in February which was thoroughly enjoyable, and gave us the opportunity to go through the details of our day in person. We arrived the day before our wedding to set up our personal decorations and so our florist could set up the flowers. The team were on site and ready to help with whatever they could which made this as stress-free as possible! We enjoyed a fabulous, relaxed evening in the Arkwright Suite with our close family and friends and ate some delicious pizza. From the very start to the very end of our wedding day, it was magical. Everything went so smoothly and had been thought of. I felt like a Queen and we really don’t think the day could have been better! Our guests had an amazing time and absolutely loved the unique Castle venue, and those staying in bedrooms felt so privileged. We cannot thank the team at Hampton Court enough, especially Rob who we had the most contact with. Nothing was too much for them. THANK YOU SO MUCH! It was (without bias) the best wedding ever! It was our dream wedding and the team were amazing at presenting opportunities to make it so personal and special! Everyone was so wowed by the beauty of the venue and it allowed for so many stunning photo moments. The team were amazing at ensuring the day went smoothly, I have never known a wedding to not have any errors and they looked after us and made sure we had the best time with what felt like minimal intervention. So accommodating. The castle stay was so magical and fun. So many different areas to enjoy in the day and an epic sleepover at night with a great breakfast to finish! I can't say enough for how lucky we feel to have gotten married here, it was unbelievably cool!It was (without bias) the best wedding ever! It was our dream wedding and the team were amazing at presenting opportunities to make it so personal and special! This venue was out of this world. Rob, Lydia & Izzy made everything we hoped for come true. The castle is even better in person. The price wasn't that bad for what you got. The rooms were incredible. We didn't really need that much decorations but what we did bring the staff cleared for us the night of the wedding and had everything packed and ready for the morning after. Our chosen music was playing throughout the venue using there speakers. I don't know if the castle has had slipknot or system of a down playing in every room before but it fits perfectly for us. Rob was there for us from the very start to when we left the day after the wedding. We are both so grateful for everything the whole team done for us but a massive thank you to Rob personally for the recommendations on how to decorate, changing the reception drinks, catering all the weird food preferences just everything! If you can we would a thousand percent recommend this venue. This venue was out of this world. Rob, Lydia & Izzy made everything we hoped for come true. The castle is even better in person. The castle is the most spectacular and impressive venue for a wedding. However, despite its size, you're made to feel completely at home. Waking up in the bridal suite there, on your wedding day, is a feeling that cannot be replicated. Rob, Lydia and Izzy were fantastic throughout the whole planning process, and the wedding itself. No ask was too much trouble and they made sure the wedding ran smoothly and to time. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting a true fairytale wedding.The castle is the most spectacular and impressive venue for a wedding. However, despite its size, you're made to feel completely at home. Waking up in the bridal suite there, on your wedding day, is a feeling that cannot be replicated. Hampton court castle was the venue of dreams. We had the most amazing day with Lydia, Izzy and Rob guiding us throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble for them to ensure the day ran smoothly, they truly went above and beyond. They accommodated all requests. They sorted everything seemlessly It was a beautiful setting as well. I was set on a courtyard wedding but due to rain we switched to the chapel and it was still so good! Stunning photos, but obviously meant planning seating etc made it harder (it is quite tight up front) and tight for our guests seated (we had 100 guests). The Hereford registrars are amazing as well. The castle was stunning and our guests were amazed by all of it. The different rooms to explore, the castle armoury, the bedrooms! It was incredible!!! You can have 50 ish guests stay overnight and it was such an experience for us (and them!) The food was delicious and the gardens for photos were stunning. We had Scott Stockwell as our photographer who has done Hampton Court Castle so many times that it was like he was part of the staff, knowing how the castle worked, even helping coordinate the fireworks! The only thing challenging was the wedding portal, it wasn’t user friendly and actually changed our vegetarian starter (which if I had checked more thoroughly the wedding summary I would’ve spotted, but didn’t think to check it!). Its very difficult to add guests and took a lot of time to do all the requests guest input. Izzy did help with some of the vendor guest uploading though, but even still, I wasn’t a fan of the portal. Everything about the day was perfect, and even weeks later at another family wedding, people were talking about ours! If you’re wanting a fairytale wedding that leaves an impression, this is it!!!! Joseph and I got married the weekend just gone (5/10/24) and I could not recommend Hampton Court Castle as a wedding venue any more! From the moment we viewed the venue to the sunday after our wedding the team have gone above and beyond to ensure everything went to plan and to answer every question I had no matter how small. We moved to Australia 6 months before the wedding and communication was outstanding, making everything seamless for me as the bride. Over the wedding weekend the staff were all incredible and all the details had been well thought out. Our guests absolutely loved the venue and the uniqueness of the castle and all the bedrooms. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

A gorgeous couple from Brazil, the bride was Brazilian and the groom English. It was such a romantic wedding and the weather for the ceremony in the Castle Courtyard couldn’t have been better. They had lots of live music, including a small band playing in the Arkwright Courtyard after the meal on the Friday night. There were lots of little Brazilian touches with gorgeous flowers and colours. They made really good use of the venue and had great guests. It was such a fun wedding to be part of.

Try and enjoy the planning process and not get too many others involved - it’s your day.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

A pretty sweet cart built by the bride’s father especially for the wedding.

Well, less of a midnight treat, more of an evening buffet treat!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Probably its exclusivity. Being able to stay in the castle and have it all to yourself is quite a unique experience.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

I think it is our experience of creating a day that works for each individual couple. We spend a lot of time working through ideas and details to make sure their day flows well and everyone enjoys themselves. The venue itself is quite flexible, we have had weddings here in all seasons and the most stunning opportunities for photographs. We’re lucky to be able to host such amazing weddings.
