Nestled in the Essex countryside, That Amazing Place is one of only a handful of country houses in England to offer exclusive use of the venue for your wedding day. With a choice of tastefully decorated reception rooms, award-winning accommodation, and picturesque gardens, our Grade II listed venue is the perfect place to celebrate your wedding.
That Amazing Place offers exclusive overnight accommodation in our stylish and extremely comfortable bedrooms. With our luxurious Honeymoon Cottage and 14 additional guest rooms (sleeping up to 29 guests), not only does this give you complete privacy on your special day, but your guests can also relax and enjoy themselves without the hassle of having to worry about transport.
PRE-WEDDING ACCOMMOCATION
Stay the night before your wedding in our 4 bedroomed house, situated right next to the venue. Along with the 4 double bedrooms (sleeping up to 8 guests) and 2 bathrooms, there is a large kitchen/dining room, a lounge, a bridal preparation room, make up room with Hollywood mirrors and a lovely large garden, perfect for relaxing drinks the night before the wedding and beautiful photos the following morning.

Prices differ dependent on day of the week and season. Costs above are for venue hire only which includes exclusive use of That Amazing Place from 11.30am (or 3pm for twilight party package) on your wedding day to 10am the following morning.
Please note that the accommodation is charged separately to the package. Pre-Wedding Accommodation is also available – Stay the night before your wedding in The Wedding Lodge, a 4 bedroomed house (sleeping 8 guests) with 2 bridal preparation rooms, a large kitchen/diner and large garden for just £750.
Standard accommodation for 15 rooms is £2,500 (incl VAT).

- HHolly08/10/2025Our perfect dayOur perfect dayWe had our wedding at That amazing place and we couldn’t of been happier Angie and her team were with us every step of the way and nothing was to much for them giving us a day we will never forget, even letting us have our daughter ride her horse down the aisle, a dream come true for her. Angie went above and beyond to make sure our day ran so smoothly, we were so lucky to have found this beautiful venue a place that caters for all your wishes giving you a very personalised wedding day. We had our wedding at That amazing place and we couldn’t of been happier Angie and her team were with us every step of the way and nothing was to much for them giving us a day we will never forget, even letting us have our daughter ride her horse down the aisle, a dream come true for her. From start to finish, Angie, Louise and Paul were incredibly friendly, supportive, and easy to work with. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make our day feel special. The venue itself is beautiful, but it’s the team that really makes it shine. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, 10/10 and would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing wedding venue!We had our wedding at That Amazing Place, and it truly lived up to its name! Angie helped to make the planning and the day stress free and a wonderful experience. I chose this venue as I wanted a classic and tasteful ceremony with elegance and class followed by a great big party!!!! We had a September wedding in the main house with 80 day guests and over 120 in the evening. Full use of the house and bedrooms made it feel like home. The guests said how great it was to start in the bar area with its cosy sofas and our acoustic guitarist singer (Marc Oliver). A quick pre wedding drink and some light snacks got them off to a good start. Then into the lake view room for the ceremony which was stunning. From there to canapés and more music enjoying the late September sunshine whilst eating and drinking reception drinks. Next entering the dining room which looked so romantic to a welcome shot which they kindly allowed us to bring with a gorgeous main meal and dessert (Lizzie from Magpie Catering) with wine flowing and speeches with Prosecco … the drinks package is extremely generous and I would recommend. After that back to the main house for the evening party. We managed to fit in a DJ (Andy from Herts Events) and a 4 piece band (The Dukes) … the dance floor was full from the beginning to the end. More food which I didn’t see as I was too busy dancing but I am told was superb. We were looked after like royalty by Angie and her team until about 10.30. And then Paul (the owner) took over and we felt like his family. Such a brilliant day. It could not have gone any better and we are so grateful. The only bad thing I can say is that it’s a shame we can’t do it all again…. Thank you TAP.What an Amazing Place indeed… and what Amazing People. Our guests had an amazing time and my son now wants me to have my 41st birthday party there 🤣Best day of our lives at That Amazing Place! And what a day it was… Angie and her team went above and beyond to make sure every little detail was perfect. In the lead of to the wedding Angie was always there! No question was to silly and nothing was ever to much to ask. The venue itself it’s absolutely stunning and the family that own the property are the nicest people you will ever meet they make you feel like you are part of there family! We honestly can no out into word how grateful we are for making our day run so smoothly and ensuring everything was what we invisioned and more! Can we do it all again!!!! All our love! The main house is beautiful and quirky and set in beautiful grounds, whilst the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It was spotlessly clean and felt very exclusive with it being sited away from neighbouring properties. We felt the setting was idyllic for our wedding and would certainly recommend it to others.We held a small family wedding (about 40 people) here and 'wow' the place and the team, particularly Angie, certainly were 'amazing'! The main house is beautiful and quirky and set in beautiful grounds, whilst the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment we booked to have our wedding day at TAP, we knew it was going to be special! All the months of planning, Angie & Louise have been there every step of the way. Angie was always there on the end of an email or a phone call. To help, guide or advise! We had our beautiful wedding day on Thursday 24th October and it was just incredible. That amazing place, really is a special place and we feel so lucky and grateful to have got to have our wedding day there. From the beautiful characteristisc house, to the beautiful marquee to the beautiful lake and outside grass it really has it all! Every single one of the staff cannot do enough for you, Paul & all the team are just the loveliest people and we’re so friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The actual day ran so smoothly with not a single hiccup and I truly beleive that was due to Angie & Louise’s efficiency! They were amazing from morning to night and constantly checked we were ok and if we needed anything. We would reccomend this venue to anyone.. and if we could do our wedding again, we would do it here again & again. On the day, everything was taken control of exactly how I would have wanted and everything ran smoothly thanks to Angie and Louise. Who are both so lovely and welcoming! The venue was spot on, the house is beautiful and the marquee was perfect for a party. Louise even drove us over the grass in a golf buggy to make sure we got some pictures outside without getting too wet due to the rain! Absolutely loved staying in the wedding lodge the night before, stunning house and got everything you’d need (Angie and Louise came to say hello the night before also making me feel so relaxed about it all).
