Nestled in the Brecon Beacons National Park and surrounded by mountains, Craig Y Nos Castle is one of the most romantic wedding venues in Wales. Craig Y Nos Castle is renowned for its famous Grade 1 listed Adelina Patti Theatre - an ideal setting for your wedding ceremony.
Have your welcome drinks in our Nicolini Lounge, followed by your wedding reception in our conservatory. Spend the evening dancing the night away in our separate function room and enjoy use of the Castle and its grounds on your special day, there are plenty of photo opportunities even on those rainy days!
We believe each and ever wedding should be unique and there is no event that is considered too big or small at the Castle.
Whatever your style the castle is a blank canvas where you can add your own personal touch, our spacious venue has quirky on-site accommodation to accommodate all your loved ones.

Our Wedding Packages are at fair and easy to understand prices. We offer Castle Wedding Packages from 25 to 130 wedding guests. Our wedding packages are very competitively priced and should be easily within your wedding budget, e.g. £5,000 for 50 day guests & 75 evening guests for all Fridays 2025*. Saturdays in 2025 are £6,000 for 60 guests day and 85 evening guests on Last Minute.

Everything was perfect, the rooms were comfortable and clean, it smelt lovely walking in. Despite it being a really cold couple if days outside, the rooms and public areas were so cozy The food was fantastic, it was a posh home from home, but I didn't have to clean or cook. I had a meal the night before the wedding, it was perfect, absolutely delicious, the wedding menu more than lived up to expectations, the ser I attended the best wedding I have ever been to at this fantastic haunted castle. From the first day we went to view the venue right up to the day after wedding we could not fault any of the staff. Kelly Michaela & Sophie had been so attentive to my daughter's every request and needs. It was a pretty big wedding but nothing was too much trouble they dealt with everything in a professional manner and couldn't fault them. The food was warm and beautiful also the breakfast the morning after the wedding was My daughter got married on the 24th November 2023 at Craig y nos castle. There was countless emails and phone calls exchanged between her and my father in law ( our unofficial wedding planner) which she was happy to answer any questions we had. We had some many requests that were not quite ordinary but non of them were a trouble. There were minor things that went wrong during the day but we was completely unaware of these as Nicola had sorted them so quickly and professionally. The day would not have gone the way it did without her. The castle was absolutely stunning! The weather was lovely so we was able to go down to the grounds as well. The waiting staff were amazing and friendly and were so accommodating when I asked questions or had requests. We can not thank Craig y nos enough for making our day perfect. I’ve been waiting to have our wedding photos before leaving a review, so we could show off how amazing it all looksWe got married here on September 14th. After a year of planning (26/10/2019) We had a few hiccups in the beginning but they were dealt with immediately! 😊 Such a beautiful venue, we couldn't of wished for a more perfect day! The staff were so welcoming and catered to our every need! We can't thank them enough. We would really like to say a big thank you to Molly for all that she done for us! From the endless phone calls, emails, me breaking down into tears and never once did she moan! Nothing was ever to much for her! We went through a hard time and we would always have a phone call checking in on us to make sure we were okay! From sorting our accommodation to literally helping with every little thing! Our day went perfectly and it's all down to her! If she noticed a problem it was dealt with before I even knew about it! The flowers and bracelet we got her just don't seem enough to show her our thanks! She literally felt like apart of our family! I hope she gets the recognition that she deserves! Good value for money. Had the whole castle to ourselves for the day. Family and friends said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been too. Brilliant location for scenery and photogtaphs. Each of our weddings are very different in style but we do love to see all the hard work and planning that our couples have put into their special day seeing it all come together fills us with joy!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
See what the venue has to offer in terms of extras that are not included at other venues this can save a huge amount in the budget that can be spent on all those wants rather than needs!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Again soo many... the day is made with the emotion that runs within, the exceptional speeches given by loved ones, those once in a life time father daughter dances, the love, laughter and joy shared by all.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Inside or outside the castle, there are so many opportunities to have the most beautiful photographs even on those rainy days! With the country park a stones throw away it is the perfect spot for pictures on the river.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Several, as the castle is also popular for Film and TV filming we have had several celebrity guests at the castle. We have had feature films, TV programs such as Dr. Who and famous opera singers film here, members of the Welsh rugby team and of course King Charles III himself!
What’s your favourite canapé?
The brie & cranberry parcels of course..
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Definitely the fish and chip supper..
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our grade 1 Opera House that our couples say there vows. The historic 19th Century theatre was built by the famous Madam Patti herself where she entertained royalty and such like, the building is steep in history with the grandeur of its day.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
OUR STAFF – all our staff are dedicated in giving you the day you deserve, they are always on hand to ensure you and your guests have the most memorable wedding ever! "All our team wish you all lots of love, laughter and a happily ever after!"
