Here at East Mersea Hall we understand that every Wedding is unique. We work closely with our couples to make sure that their Wedding Day is 100% their way.
Whether you are looking for an informal BBQ or Hog Roast, or a 3-course meal, East Mersea Hall has something for everyone.
Working closely with our couples from the beginning of their planning process, means we build strong relationships to completely understand what you are trying to achieve with one of the most important days of your lives. We are available right the way through your planning stages until the day itself. Making sure that every detail is taken care of. Meaning you have a stress free day creating incredible memories.
Enjoy your Wedding under our stunning Pavilion, or choose to hire our marquee or tipi in our secluded Secret Garden for Weddings that want a more festival feel. The possibilities are endless. .
The grounds are picturesque with a mature tree woodland, the stunning lake and landscaped gardens. When hiring East Mersea Hall, it is exclusively yours.
East Mersea Hall is licensed for Civil ceremonies both inside and outside. We also have the beautiful Saint Edmunds Church situated on our grounds.
Couples may also like to marry in the Woodland Ceremony Retreat. This is located in our tranquil woodland area behind the lake. This is a non-legal ceremony, conducted by a Celebrant, in conjunction with a ceremony at a Registry Office.
Our Pavilion can accommodate 150 guests for your Wedding Breakfast and 250 Evening guests and our Tipi 250 guests for your Wedding Breakfast and 300 Evening guests.
All of our packages are bespoke to our couples needs, so why not arrange a personal viewing with our team, and we can discuss how we can create your Wedding day, your way.

The venue itself is beautiful and the space lends itself ideally to a great party. Kirsty and her team were a pleasure to work with. From the outset Kirsty worked with us and was happy to supply options as we were deciding what format the party would take. The catering was superb as was the cake that Kirsty organised. The venue looked wonderful on the day, Kirsty was on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly and I have had so many comments from guests on how beautiful the venue was, how fantastic the food was and how wonderful all of the staff were.
