Dorfold is a romantic country estate on the edge of the market town of Nantwich in Cheshire. Set within beautiful parkland, ancient trees, and manicured gardens, the estate is home to a newly built, award-winning wedding barn, designed specifically for unforgettable celebrations.
Transformed by Cripps & Co, a family-run business with 30 years' experience creating exceptional weddings, the venue offers the best of both worlds: modern design with timeless surroundings. The purpose-built barn sits just beside the grand Jacobean house and has been carefully designed to complement its historic setting while offering a light-filled, contemporary space for weddings.
The barn holds up to 160 guests for ceremonies and dining. A clean, spacious interior with dramatic windows offers sweeping views of the gardens and estate grounds, while its style allows each couple to make the space their own. Couples can also have access to the Hall itself to get ready, as well as use of the gardens for drinks receptions or photos.
In true Cripps & Co fashion, our in-house chefs cook over open flames, preparing bold, generous feasts on a giant BBQ and rotisserie. We focus on simple, quality ingredients, cooked and served with flair.
You’ll be supported throughout by a dedicated wedding coordinator and a hands-on team, helping bring your day together with ease. We're flexible, collaborative, and here to help – whether you have a clear vision or are starting from scratch.

Ask questions! We are always around to answer the quickest of questions, the longest chain of questions, the amazingly bizarre questions, and the most obvious, mundane or confusing questions - but we know that every question answered reassures the couple immensely; so never be afraid to ask, ask, ask away!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We love the 'find your face to find your place' seating plan - the couples must take ages gathering photos of all the guests, and it reminds the guests of times spent with the happy couple.

Our food! Our formula is “Buy the best, cook it simply, serve it generously”. We like to make our food dramatic as well as delicious, so have our huge feature kitchen where you can watch your feast unfold. Our food is served 'feast-style' on boards and in bowls to the centre of the table for guests to just dig into! Yum!
