It was home to King Henry VIII's first daughter, Queen Mary I, and his second wife, Anne Boleyn. It was also where radar was invented when the Admiralty owned it. Additionally, it has been used as a filming location for Netflix's hit series "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story."
