Crowne Plaza Reading

We recently had our wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza Reading. The day went perfectly and we have the Crowne Plaza team to thank for that. The event teams were very receptive to our questions and requests in the months leading up to the wedding. This made us feel well organised. The hotel catering team provided very delicious food. All our guests commented about how nice it was. The room looked beautiful when everything was laid out. We really liked having our own garden area for our guests to enjoy. The location is perfect. Both picturesque and near the town centre for our guests that travelled by public transport. On the day, the team were available and quick to respond to all of our needs. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. One we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives.

Hi Julie! Firstly, we are so sorry it's taken so long to reply! It's been a busy few weeks with our honeymoon and going back to work! Secondly, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU for everything! We had such an incredible day, and our guests were all saying how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. We've been told we've set the bar for weddings in our friendship group ❤️ Everyone had a lovely time and really enjoyed it, including us. We are so grateful for everything. You made our special day so much more special. The room was amazing and could fit all my bridespeople in it as well as my huge dress, and I got fabulous photos on the balcony! We also loved the pool and breakfast! I honestly could not have imagined a better wedding day. It was everything I wanted! You and all the staff did such an amazing job. We'll definitely be coming back for our anniversary 😊 I've also been sharing how incredible my day was with people who have been looking for a wedding venue, so you may get lots more bookings for next year! I must admit that it was a wedding I was attending at Crowne plaza reading. It was such an amazing experience with the service at point. Starting with drinks Sunil, Bijay as bar tenders were fun getting served drinks while we visited the bar each time for a drink. Antonio was well equipped with what the task at hand was his team with Sweyta, Karen and Ana made everything go smooth as ice. Thank you guys for an amazing experience. After 2.5 years of cancellations etc at another hotel group we were at last able to have reception here on Saturday 23 April 2022. The Event Organiser Raluca made sure she was available in case any problems however minor arising could be sorted straight away giving us perfect peace of mind. The Restaurant manager Bruno was there until the end at midnight along with his great team of waiters. We had our wedding at Crowne Plaza Reading in April and it was absolutely exquisite. The venue was stunning, the service was perfect (and went above and beyond in multiple ways), the food was delicious. Everyone said it was wonderful. I cannot thank enough everyone for their service.

Since 2014 I've been proud to be a recommended supplier at the Crowne Plaza. Highlights include taking Brides and Grooms onto Caversham Bridge and across the other side of the River Thames to the picturesque Caversham Court Gardens for couple portraits. I've also photographed onboard a boat going up the River Thames to Mapledurham lock and back which was a nice touch during the drinks reception before embarking for dinner at the hotel. Wedding Breakfasts at the Crowne Plaza have always been delicious! It has been great working with their wedding coordinators and catering teams over the years. All the staff I've had the pleasure of working with are helpful, polite and friendly. I also know people who have stayed at the hotel and returned on several occasions using it as a base when visiting family and friends in Reading.
