Imagine taking your wedding vows floating on water, surrounded by panoramic lake views and amazing wildlife. Our unique, award winning, Lancashire wedding venue is hidden within beautiful Brockholes nature reserve; offering a truly memorable setting for your wedding. Along the banks of the river, in our ancient woodland or with the sun setting across the lake, our 250 acre nature reserve provides a stunning stage for your photographs. Set in the heart of a Lancashire Wildlife Trust wetland nature reserve, our eco-friendly wedding venue floats on the lake amongst the reeds. What’s more, by choosing us for your special day you are supporting vital conservation work to help protect local wildlife. With an intimate lakeside ceremony room, stunning dining and reception rooms, and a range of delicious home-made wedding menus created using locally-sourced ingredients from the North West, Brockholes is a wedding venue with a difference, just waiting for you to create your own special day.
They're all my favourite! But I love a summer wedding with a barbecue and an outdoor drinks reception - everyone is relaxed and happy, drinking gin and tonics by the lake as the sun sets.
Prioritise what you book: choose what really matters to you and get that sorted nice and early. You'll feel so much more prepared knowing you've got your venue or photography sorted, or that you've made sure you've secured your perfect date.
Once, the Father of the Bride sang 'You are my Sunshine' during a ceremony... There was not a dry eye in the room!
Beautiful, unique, relaxed, wild, welcoming
Brockholes is full of gorgeous photo spots but some of my favourites are the boardwalk approaching the Village, surrounded by the lake, our secluded sunken seating, and the boardwalk into the reedbed.
Prince Harry joined us for a day and enjoyed his lunch in our den. Closer to home, Alison Hammond made bird-feeders at Brockholes during her tour of the UK!
They're all delicious but the mini roast beef and yorkshire pudding is amazing. The goats cheese and red onion crostini is also a winner.
After a night of dancing, our guests love tucking into a bacon or veggie sausage butty.
We're a floating wedding venue - your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception all take place in our floating village.
Every wedding at Brockholes helps fund our vital conservation work across our region.
