What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
If you're trying to save money on your big day (we get it, weddings are expensive!) Friends and family can help prepare your venue space the evening before, make the cake and even club together and provide a delicious buffet! The only think we advise you spend that little bit of money on is a professional photographer to capture those amazing moments.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We always highly recommend a toast master or master of ceremonies at your wedding. In our experience they can make your wedding so much more personable and memorable. https://www.bradwellabbeyweddings.com/celebrants

What is Bradwell Abbey Weddings most unique feature?
Bradwell Abbey is the site and remains of a medieval Benedictine Priory and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument (no.19062). It is significant because it contains the greater part of the medieval precinct of a priory, a relatively unusual survival, with a rare standing building - a dedicated pilgrimage chapel with a scheme of stunning contemporary wall paintings. We're especially proud being in the heart of Milton Keynes, which is often labeled as a 'New city with no history'
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Not many people know this but we are actually a charity: Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre is a charity that works in collaboration with MK Council to manage and maintain the Bradwell Abbey site for the benefit of the Milton Keynes community. In the week we offer educational programmes to support all levels of learning in urban studies and heritage studies and then at the weekend we host weddings!
We take pride in welcoming couples from diverse backgrounds, religions and the LGBTIQA+ community, making our venue a place where everyone can celebrate their love and union without barriers. To prove it we received 'Highly commended for Celebrating Diversity @ Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards 2023' :)
