Set within 2,000 acres of historic parkland and beautifully manicured gardens of Wiltshire countryside, Bowood gives you the space to bring your whole celebration together in one place. Your ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening can unfold across different parts of the venue, while the surrounding grounds give you plenty of opportunities to step away together for photographs and a few quieter moments.

For guests travelling to celebrate with you, Bowood can become part of the wider wedding experience too. With accommodation on site, breakfast together the following morning and the Spa, golf and Estate all around you, the celebration does not have to begin and end with the wedding reception.

The most perfect day! 🤍The most perfect day! 🤍
We first found Bowood hotel when we visited for a wedding fayre, as we were walking around we realised it had everything we were looking for and we fell in love instantly and knew we had to have our wedding there. Bowood hotel is a gorgeous venue, the grounds are absolutely stunning from the entrance gate to the beautiful driveway and of course the wedding room. The hotel rooms, the restaurant, the food and the spa is also absolutely beautiful. I stayed in the mercer suite the night before the wedding which is a lovely room with lots of space for all us girls getting ready and having makeup & hair done etc. Myself & my husband then stayed in the tower suite for the wedding night and this room Is stunning. The views are spectacular, the private staircase up to the room makes the room feel so unique and the whole room is so beautiful and spacious. We were very looked after by the team with them making sure our bags were brought up from our previous rooms to the beautiful bottles of complimentary champagne that we received. The whole team at Bowood were absolutely incredible and we couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who helped make our wedding run as smoothly as it did. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. There is one person who was a massive part of our special day and that was Catherine (the weddding coordinator at Bowood Hotel). Not long after we booked the venue the previous wedding coordinator actually left and when we found out we were worried as she knew everything we wanted and we was unsure on how the handover would work but then we met Catherine for the first time and we honestly had nothing to worry about because Catherine felt like the missing peice we needed in our wedding planning. She brought so much calm, structure, and reassurance at a time when everything can easily feel overwhelming, Nothing was ever too much trouble for her and she always made us feel listened to, supported, and understood. Her attention to detail was just something else. She thought of things we would never have even considered, asked all the right questions, and somehow always seemed ten steps ahead in the best possible way. On the wedding day she was calm, organised, reassuring, and quietly in control of absolutely everything behind the scenes, while still somehow being present in all the right moments when we needed her. So many of our guests commented on how amazing the whole team were, how calm everything felt, how well the day flowed, and how everything just seemed effortless. But we know that was mostly all down to Catherine working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure every detail was perfect. She honestly went above and beyond in every single way. Not just as a coordinator, but as someone who truly cared about our day and about us having the best possible experience. That meant more to us than we can ever properly explain. We both keep saying we genuinely don’t know what we would have done without her. She was such a huge part of what made our wedding day so special, and we will always be so, so grateful to her and the whole team at Bowood for that. We look forward to visiting our wedding venue again in the future. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was somewhere special, and our wedding day completely exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is truly stunning. We absolutely loved having the Kerry Suite separate from the main hotel, which gave us and our guests our own private space while still having all the facilities and beauty of Bowood around us. It worked perfectly for our wedding and created such a wonderful atmosphere throughout the day and evening. A huge thank you has to go to our wedding coordinator, Catherine. She genuinely couldn’t have done anything more for us. From the planning in the run-up to the big day, she was always helpful, approachable and made us feel completely reassured that everything was in safe hands. She played such an important part in making our day run so smoothly. All of the staff on the day were absolutely fantastic. Everyone was friendly, approachable and went above and beyond to make sure we, and our guests, had everything we needed. I cannot recommend Bowood and the team enough. They helped us out with planning everything, were there for every question we asked and made our day absolutely perfect. We chose to have a small intimate wedding at Bowood, opting for the 'just the two of us' package and adding on a small number of guests. Everything was exactly as we wanted - Catherine our planner was lovely and had great communication with us the whole way through, and all the staff involved in our social day were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble! The grounds of Bowood were also amazing to get our photos taken by our lovely photographer Jessie Emily! The suite we stayed in on the night before and night of our wedding was absolutely beautiful, with lots of small touches added, and the spa facilities and restaurant were so luxurious. We got married at Bowood on 11 July 2026, and the team there were a large part of why the day worked as well as it did. Catherine looked after us from the first planning meeting right through to the morning itself, and she had a way of answering the small, slightly awkward questions (where can I get photos taken without 90 guests spotting me, can we get umbrellas up at the back for shade during the ceremony) with an answer that had clearly been thought through long before we asked it. Ours was a Scottish and Nigerian wedding, so we weren't running a standard order of the day, and at no point did anyone at Bowood treat that as an inconvenience. They flexed around the parts that mattered most to both families, and the team on the day kept everything moving without it ever feeling stage-managed. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel across the weekend, which turned out to be one of the better decisions we made. The grounds are genuinely beautiful, breakfast the next morning became a proper continuation of the celebration, and people were still talking about the setting weeks afterwards. The food was excellent from the tasting through to the wedding breakfast, and the service stayed calm and attentive with 90 people to look after. If you're considering Bowood up, the venue sells itself the moment you walk the grounds. What you can't see on a viewing is the team behind it, and that's the part we'd recommend it for.
