We can’t thank Sue and the team at Blackfriars enough, we had the most amazing wedding day in September. The venue is so beautiful and we really couldn’t have asked for a better day. Everything in the run up and right throughout the day went so smoothly and Sue was always around to answer any questions. We had catering from Cater Cater who were also just as amazing! Thank you!

We got married at Blackfriars Priory on 28/10/2023. We can't thank Hebe and the Blackfriars team enough for all of their help and support, both on the day itself and in the months leading up to our big day. The day ran so smoothly, all the logistics were taken care of without us having to worry. We had a bagpiper in the morning and a Ceilidh in the evening which were so much fun, and again easily accommodated by the team. The venue itself is stunning and lots of our guests commented on how impressive it was. Obviously as a large and very old building it can get chilly in the Autumn/Winter, so we did prep our guests to bring layers! One perk for us was being able to set up the venue the day before. Seeing it take shape and not being rushed at all meant we could really enjoy the build up to the big day :) Thanks again Blackfriars team!

The most beautiful venue! As soon as we were engaged we knew we wanted to celebrate our marriage at Black Friars. Matthew was excellent and on hand to respond to any questions or requests we had. The recommended caterers, orchard catering, were sublime and would definitely recommend to future couples. Thank you so much for ensuring the day ran perfectly! Sophie and Matt x

I attended a wedding here and it was amazing. The venue is visually stunning, the staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient and the facilities spotless and everything you could wish for. It is all steeped in history as well. I thoroughly recommend a visit!

Blackfriars was the perfect place for our wedding. The team are so helpful and friendly a lot of the stress in organising such an important event was taken away. Every question we had was answered quickly. All venue visits were relaxed and we weren't made to rush. All the hard work that the team put in both before and on the day was so appreciated and the day was perfect. We honestly could not recommend the venue and the team more highly. Blackfriars was one of the first wedding venues me and my Husband viewed, and we fell in love with it straight away, booking it 2 years in advance! We are both so happy that we made the decision to have our wedding in Blackfriars as it was everything we hoped for, and more! The team at Blackfriars were so helpful and guided us through all the planning along the way and went above and beyond when we had an issue with our caterers early in our planning. All venue visits were relaxed and they answered any questions we had. Our wedding planner even managed to arrange for a local, alcohol-free IPA to be supplied on our day for our alcohol-free guests and ensured that all the alcohol in our drinks package was vegan for us! The garden games went down so well with our guests to use in the sunny courtyard, and it was amazing to see all our family & friends having the best time. We loved all the extra touches that were provided like fairy lights, downlighters and candles and this made the venue look even more beautiful! The staff were fabulous on the day and made us feel so well looked after. All of our guests continue to comment on how beautiful and unique Blackfriars is as a venue too (which is the reason we booked it!) and how they also found all the staff so helpful on the day. We can't praise Blackfriars highly enough and would highly recommend booking your wedding or event here!

Really great venue, staff were amazing for our wedding in August 2021, can not recommend this place enough. Such a unique place to get married and with so much heritage. All guest were amazed at the venue when they arrived and said it was like nothing they have seen before.
