- MMal M23/05/2025wedding april 2023wedding april 2023i attended a wedding on the 6th of april and stayed overnight and had the best time, the service from everyone working was amazing and the rooms were immaculate, lovely view of the beach and the food provided was lovely and an all round great night. harry and sadie spent the evening making sure everything was perfect for the happy couple and made their night amazing. we also spent our first evening in the marco resturant, the waiters were great and very attentive, the meal was amazingi attended a wedding on the 6th of april and stayed overnight and had the best time, the service from everyone working was amazing and the rooms were immaculate, lovely view of the beach and the food provided was lovely and an all round great night. harry and sadie spent the evening making sure everything was perfect for the happy couple and made their night amazing. we also spent our first evening in the marco resturant, the waiters were great and very attentive, the meal was amazing

The venue also had to deal with the Dover Regatta on the same day and England playing as well! We choose this hotel as we had everything we wanted in one place. I'm pleased to say they coped very well well, all done with a professional attitude, the day went off without any problems, if there were any changes made, they were dealt with swiftly and calmly. Right at the beginning 12 months prior the service and support we have recieved has been outstanding. Every wist we had for our day has been granted and nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. A special mention to Sian (events coordinator), she was fantastic, she kept us both at ease right up to the last minute with all our requests. The day itself went without a hitch from the word go. Sian took control of everything. The food provided was outstanding and this was echoed by all of our guests. The room (bridal suite) was out of this world with a lovely view and every facility we needed. The restaurant for morning breakfast was also excellent with very helpful staff and food perfect. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
It’s hard to choose just one, but a standout wedding that truly captured the magic of Dover Marina Hotel & Spa was a three-day celebration for a couple who wanted a relaxed, luxurious coastal escape with their closest friends and family.
The festivities began with our Wheelers fish and chips on the Waterfront terrace - the perfect icebreaker as guests arrived from across the UK and Europe. The next morning, the bridal party enjoyed spa treatments and champagne while getting ready in our sea-view suites.
The ceremony took place outdoors, with the iconic White Cliffs as a breath taking backdrop. The couple chose personalised vows, a string quartet, and floral arrangements bursting with soft coastal tones, simple, elegant, and unforgettable.
Their reception in the Winston Suite featured a custom menu with wine pairings, a prosecco station, and a surprise performance by the groom’s favourite jazz band. Later, the party moved to the terrace for a sparkler send-off and late-night cocktails.
What made it truly special wasn’t just the attention to detail, it was the warmth, laughter, and the feeling that everyone was on holiday together. That wedding reminded us why we love what we do: creating unforgettable experiences that feel like home, by the sea.

Make time for moments that matter.
It’s easy to get caught up in table plans, timelines, and to-do lists, but the most unforgettable weddings are the ones where couples are truly present. Build in little pockets of calm on your day, whether that’s a quiet breakfast together, a sunset stroll by the sea, or a few minutes alone after the ceremony. These moments become the memories you’ll treasure most.
And remember: surround yourself with a team you trust, so you can relax and enjoy every second. We’ll take care of the details, you just focus on the enjoyment.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There have been so many beautiful ideas over the years, but one that truly stood out was a couple who created a “Seaside Story Station.” They set up a cosy corner filled with photos, handwritten notes, and keepsakes from their travels, including pebbles from their favourite beach and postcards they’d sent each other while apart. Guests were invited to write their own messages and memories to add to the display, which later became part of their wedding scrapbook.
It was a simple but powerful way to share their love story, and it gave guests a real sense of connection. We love when couples bring a piece of themselves into the day, it’s those personal touches that make a wedding feel truly one-of-a-kind.

It has to be the classic Cucumber-Dill bite, light, refreshing, and full of flavour. It’s the perfect nod to seaside sophistication and always a hit with guests. Simple, elegant, and oh-so-delicious!

Chocolate-covered strawberries, simple, timeless, and a little bit indulgent. There’s just something special about ending the night with a sweet bite of luxury. Plus, they pair perfectly with a final glass of bubbly! 🍓
