Larkspur Lodge is situated in the beautiful town of Knutsford, in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. The building is a converted 18th century shippon barn that still boasts a number of original features, including beautiful red brick walls, barn style windows and exposed timber trusses. Available for exclusive use wedding and events Larkspur Lodge provides a beautifully rustic backdrop for your celebrations.
THE LOCATION
Situated within walking distance from Knutsford town centre, Larkspur is perfect for those seeking a rural feel venue with easy access to accommodation and transport links in Cheshire. The venue has a private entrance and car parking available.
THE LODGE
The Lodge Room is a beautifully light and open space that accommodates up to 150 seated day guests, and extends to 180 guests for the evening reception. With exposed red brick walls, the room is decked with immaculate white clothed tables and stylish white wooden chairs offering the perfect backdrop for your celebrations.
THE BAR & LODGE
Larkspur has a large bar and lounge space adjoining the Lodge Room offering a comfortable space for guests to enjoy a drink on the Chesterfield sofas. The huge 24 foot bar is stocked with a wide variety of quality wines, champagnes, spirits, beers and ales and is serviced by experienced bar tenders. The bar is licensed until 12midnight.
THE CEREMONY ROOM
Our unique and atmospheric amphitheatre style Ceremony Room is fully licensed for civil ceremonies and seats up to 150 guests comfortably. This dramatic space is like no other – with retro theatre style seats surrounding the room, monochrome floor tiles and twinkling lights adorning the original oak trusses overhead creating the most romantic space to exchange your ‘I do’s.
THE GARDEN
Larkspur is a type of flower that represents an open heart and love and you will find these blooms surrounding the perfectly manicured lawned garden.

From start to finish the staff have been amazing, communication has been fantastic and especially Georgia who was with us throughout the day making sure everything was running smoothly, was incredible. The venue doesn’t need much extra decorations because it’s so stunning on its own. The ceremony room is so unique, with its old style cinema seats. We fell in love this is room straight away. We definitely definitely definitely recommend this venue This place is absolutely gorgeous and so happy we choose to have our wedding here. Stunning, unique and dreamy!To Hannah, James, John, Becky and the rest of the Larkspur Lodge team we can’t begin to thank you enough for making our wedding day the best day of our lives! From the moment we pulled up to the venue on the open day it was already everything we had imagined and more! Once we got inside and seen how beautiful and unique the ceremony room was we realised we had found our venue. The reception room was the perfect size for our wedding guests and even better that the bar area isn’t completely separated but another area to mingle and still be close enough to enjoy the day. Myself and my bridal party absolutely loved getting ready in the upstairs area. It was spacious, we had unlimited hot/cold drinks and lots of space for hair and make up. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Every email query was always answered and sorted quickly. Special thanks to John who was an absolute star on the day making sure every detail was right and even saving some canapés for us to enjoy whilst we were busy having photos. The food was absolutely delicious! We have had SO many compliments from our guests saying how stunning the venue was and how amazing the day was and this is all thanks to you guys for making our dream a reality! Hannah who updated files, was present at meetings, was super responsive to emails and who on the day provided support, encouragement and a reassuring arm to settle the nerves. Sophie was so supportive throughout all the covid date changes. And in the run up to the big day the whole team were so helpful in finalising the details and adding finishing touches. The day couldn’t have run more smoothly thanks to whole of the larkspur team keeping everything organised. The venue itself is so unique and full of character. There’s so many beautiful spaces - from the quirky ceremony room, the tucked away snug rooms, the bright reception room and the lovely lawn. Our wedding day was even better than expected, it was perfect. I can’t recommend Larkspur Lodge highly enough.
