Description

With a choice of venues for your wedding celebration including the opportunity of a tipi in the grounds; a celebratory wedding breakfast and party in the Medieval Domus; an intimate dinner in the ancestral home of Lord Montagu or even a drinks reception in the National Motor Museum itself, Beaulieu really is a venue for everyone. The impressive 13th century Domus, our most popular wedding ceremony and reception venue, is perfect for 60 to 130 guests. With its secluded setting alongside the picturesque Beaulieu River, surrounded by immaculate grounds and historic cloister, it truly is a stunning backdrop to your special day. Inside the Domus the impressive wooden beams, dramatic stonework and colourful wall hangings give a real sense of history whilst still giving you the opportunity to style the space to reflect your own modern day wedding celebration. The Victorian Gardens, with wisteria arch, seasonal flowerbeds and themed topiary, provide many stunning photo opportunities. Licensed for civil ceremonies as well as having an adjacent Church, our wedding venue has everything to make your day something special.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

During the pandemic we created two weddings out of one wedding so that the couple could have two sets of separate guests attend different parts of their stunning wedding day. All of their family and friends got to share in their joy and it made the day even more special despite the restrictions.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Create your day about yourselves, your passions and what you as a couple want; it's your wedding day and your journey as a couple and your wedding should reflect that.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

It has to be the most beautiful and personal lavender scented hearts, made by the bride and embroidered with guests names to hang on the back of each chair as a place name. They were very special and the space smelt incredible.

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Impressive, Unique, Stunning, Rustic, Elegant

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

There are too many to chose from but our couples love the Victorian Gardens with the wisteria arch, themed topiary, fountains and beautiful rose garden. Our personal favourite is the "Royal" balcony shot taken from an aerial view overlooking the historic Cloister.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We have but we couldn't possibly say!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Gruyere Fondue with Crispy Leeks

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

A luxurious hot chocolate from our Hot Chocolate station, with or without a dash of Baileys!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Love Lock Tree

To add to the romance of Beaulieu newlyweds are encouraged to lock in your love for eternity by attaching engraved padlocks to the beautifully crafted “love lock” tree sculpture. This specially commissioned giant bonsai tree, sculptured in metal, is home to many love-locks and gives a constant romantic reminder to couples who have chosen Beaulieu to celebrate their day and lock in their love for eternity.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our collective experience in guiding couples through their wedding day journey from the initial planning to the day itself.
