Bearwood Lakes is an exclusive members club (who open their doors to a limited amount of non-member functions each year), boasting classical style with modern comfort and enthusiastic staff to help plan your event. Our chefs have the creative flair to conjure up that memorable meal. You don’t need to look any further. From the smile that greets you when you arrive to that last drink before the evening ends, every moment of your wedding should be special. Imagine what you would like and we’ll deliver it. From a buzzing party to a formal dinner or anything in between, you set the tone and we will make it happen. Our staff will always be there to help create the perfect atmosphere. It’s your day after all. Catering is at the heart of every function. Although we have an extensive A La Carte menu we invite you to make your own suggestions. We’d be pleased to work with your ideas to enhance your perfect wedding. Our priority is to ensure your day flows smoothly from one stage to the next and, of course, we will make sure nothing is overlooked; tableware, decorations and seating plans. With a choice of two function areas leading out onto a south facing extended balcony you, your family and friends will enjoy magnificent views of the landscape below. Since we are a private venue you can party all day and night.
Whilst we have our standard packages, we are more than happy to break from the norm and look at bespoke packages according to your needs and numbers.

Yes, it’s a beautiful location, the function rooms are extremely attractive and comfortable and the food is excellent, but what really makes the difference at Bearwood is their wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. We had the hot fork buffet (I chose a Thai chicken or veg curry with fish and chips as an alternative - both of which went down very well with our guests) followed by a selection of desserts and it was perfect. The setting is beautiful - perfect for a special and memorable occasion!I couldn't have been happier. The organisation was seamless and the food and service were excellent. The whole process leading up to the event was very smooth and Mandy did an amazing job managing the event. Despite having to delay and move the date several times, she was always accommodating and extremely helpful. The staff on the day were very friendly and the day flowed very well. The food was delicious and all the guests enjoyed their meals. We had a nice relaxing time on the golf course when we went out to have pictures done. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Lockdown wedding and then a party 18 months later! We hosted the most intimate wedding between the Covid lockdowns. Then, once restrictions were lifted we hosted the most amazing and vibrant party to celebrate! Both events were lovely.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It's your wedding, no-one elses!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A photo frame with a wide mount - ask all the guests to write a message, then after the big day, add your favourite photo. Great talking point when people come to visit.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The large lakes provide a stunning backdrop for photography of the happy couple and allows for lots of fun and creativity!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
As an exclusive golf club, we have many celebrities come here to play as they like the privacy.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Salmon Blinis.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Bacon Rolls in delicious Brioche Bun.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The natural lakes and woodland provide the perfect backdrop for creative wedding photography of the happy couple.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The breath-taking views from the clubhouse/restaurant and balcony. Everyone is amazed by the view when they walk into the room. Various deer and birdlife are often seen from the balcony.
