Barnsley House is an intimate wedding location for up to 140 guests.
One of the most important elements of any wedding is the capturing of memories through photography, and the historic Barnsley House ornamental gardens designed by Rosemary Verey offer a variety of perfect backdrops.
The main house, with 18 luxurious bedrooms (available for exclusive hire), has been designed to exceptional standards with a blend of contemporary and traditional features. If we were put on the spot and asked to provide one word to describe the hotel, spa and gardens, we think it would probably be ‘charming’.
If we were allowed a few more words, we might say that it’s the most charming, perfectly equipped and complete Cotswold location for small and intimate weddings, celebrations and events.
We’re flexible in our approach and will work with you on the finer detail, either directly, through your own Wedding Planner or with our Events Manager – every small detail will be considered, agreed and perfectly delivered on the day.

She was professional yet so friendly every meeting felt like catching up with a friend. Here knowledge about wedding organisation is first class and always made sure the smallest of details were organised which made the whole process so relaxed. She would really to message, phone calls and emails so efficiently and supplied more then just the venue. In the weeks and months leading up to the big day she quietly and unintrusively gathered all the details needed from us to make our day go smoothly and was always there to answer all our questions quickly. On the big day itself she was an absolute godsend and was honestly a huge part of making our day so special and perfect. Also worth noting is how she was so accommodating with all our special requests, making the day our own.Rachel was a huge and invaluable part of our big day. However, what really made our day so special was the incredible help and support that Rachel and the team provided. Everything just ran so seamlessly and it really allowed us to just concentrate on enjoying our day and soaking in the atmosphere. After being turned down by tens and tens of venues due to our small party size, I couldn't believe it when Rachel emailed me to confirm she would love to coordinate our wedding. My husband and our families were made to feel so special, as if we had booked the entire venue (and we know couples often do!) - I truly had the most magical day and none of it would have been possible without Rachel.We had a vision for a tiny outdoor ceremony with only 16 guests, but still in a beautiful place. From the gardens, bedrooms, restaurant and most importantly the staff, Barnsley House has it all. Every guest enjoyed their time at Barnsley House and many mentioned how breathtaking the venue was and how the staff went out of their way to ensure everyone was having a good time. Our Wedding Coordinator, Rachel was very professional and had everything in hand, nothing was too much trouble for her.The most unique and beautiful venue, nothing else compares.
