Description
The barn provides beautiful views of the Avon Valley, Downton Church and water meadows bordering the river Avon making it a perfect backdrop for your wedding. The barn can seat up to 150 guests however with a marquee 250 guests can be accommodated. Here at Barford Park, you have the freedom to choose your own suppliers, however, we are happy to recommend suppliers.

The hire cost for the barn in 2024 and 2024 is £4000. This is for 4 days rental of the barn and its kitchen and bathroom facilities- two days to set up, one day for the event and one day to clean up.

- SSophy and Owen11/11/2023Amazing venue Amazing venueSuch a great find, it was perfect for our wedding and our guests said how beautiful it was! Great space, bar and kitchen facilities and toilets! The only thing we would say is communication could of been improved, our initial viewing was double booked with another couple, when we booked in to view it with suppliers this was not always communicated with the owner and were questioned when we were there infront of our suppliers, also found out on social media that the person we were communicating with would be away the week running up to our wedding! I would like to say, while we were setting up people came to introduce themselves and ask if we needed anything. On the night there was someone around to help with taxis arriving and locking up which was very helpful! Such a great find, it was perfect for our wedding and our guests said how beautiful it was! We were looking for a bit of a blank canvas, that was nicer than a village hall, but didn't come with the expense of a hotel/package deal. Some pros: Spacious - approx 90 sit down guests for lunch, and some more in the evening. There was also plenty of space to host a ceilidh in the evening. Good set up with a built in bar, and a kitchen (although we mainly just used this for prep and drinks storage). Attractive - nice outside area, and attractive on the inside. Plenty of nice places for photos, Flexible - we liked the flexibility to decorate as we wanted, and to choose caterers/bars as we wanted. Having the 4 day hire was also great, and took away the pressure of setting up and packing down on the wedding day itself. The staff were so helpful and it was great to have full flexibility to decorate and run the wedding the way we wanted. There's so much space to play with and the team are so accommodating and kind. We had two days to set up which made the whole process so much easier! All our guests said how gorgeous the barn and the surrounding area was. If you want a gorgeous barn wedding that you can really make your own this is the venue for you! I really wanted a venue where I could be creative and really put my stamp on it, Barford was perfect! There's so much space to play with and the team are so accommodating and kind. From initial enquiries through to communication on the day, we could not fault our experience with the venue. We enjoyed having complete creative freedom to create our dream day, from creating our own decor to choosing any supplier we wanted for the bar, wedding breakfast etc. which we felt was lacking with other nearby venues we enquired with whereby you have to stick to a preferred list. Having two days to set up meant we didn’t have to stress and rush to get everything sorted, plus the day to clear down afterwards was helpful. Overall we had a great day to remember and I would not hesitate to recommend. We had the most perfect day we could ever have imagined at Barford Park. You get it for 5 days which means that you have total flexibility to create exactly what you want with your wedding. The staff are helpful and they enabled us to come in on several occasions prior to the wedding to plan and measure up. Our wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without this amazing venue.
