The Avon Gorge Hotel is the perfect backdrop for Wedding and Civil Partnerships. We have one large event space which is perfect for a Wedding Celebration. We are licensed for ceremonies and have the perfect space for your Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception. Whether you choose a BBQ on your own private terrace with fantastic views of the Gorge and the Suspension bridge, or hold your Wedding Breakfast in Aquam Bibe, Avon Gorge has an abundance of historical character and charm, yet modern and contemporary at the same time.
Aquam Bibe is our event space at Avon Gorge located on the lower ground floor of the hotel. It has it's own internal access via a red carpeted, sweeping marble staircase and has many of the lovingly restored features of the former baths of the Spa & Hydro baths, including stained glass windows and mosaic flooring. This space boasts natural daylight and has air-conditioning too. In addition to it's own entrance, it also has a private bar, dedicated restrooms, a lobby and it's own private terrace area.
The space can be one large space, or split into two spaces.

AQUAM BIBE 1
This can accommodate up to 64 guests for a Ceremony and a seated Wedding Breakfast and up to 120 guests for an evening reception.
AQUAM BIBE 2
This can accommodate up to 80 guests for a Ceremony and a seated Wedding Breakfast and up to 180 guests for an evening reception.
AQUAM BIBE SUITE
Our Aquam Bibe suite can be combined to create one large space for a Wedding. This can accommodate up to 100 guests for a Ceremony, 144 guests for a seated Wedding Breakfast and up to 300 guests for an evening reception.
THE TERRACE
Our private terrace proves to be extremely popular over the summer months and is always a "wow" factor with it's stunning Gorge views. Whether it's canapes & Champagne prior to your Wedding Breakfast or a drinks reception with your nearest & dearest.

Describe the best wedding that happened at Hotel du Vin Avon Gorge?
We had a lovely couple that were desperate to get married outside on the terrace with the bridge in the background. It's not something we usually do, but we made it happen and the pictures spoke for themselves! There was a beautiful memory ladder that held pictures of all the guests that were no longer with them - was lovely way for key family members to have a space on their special day
