Her journey into the wedding industry began while she was still in university, working as a Wedding Coordinator. She quickly realised that this was where her true passion lay. Upon graduating, she embraced a full-time role at Bredenbury Court Barns and its sister venue, Dodford Manor. For Ashleigh, an extrovert who thrives on connection, there’s nothing more rewarding than being “a part of a couple’s journey on what will most likely be the most important day in their lives”. She couldn’t imagine doing anything else!

Memorable moments & expert advice

For Ashleigh, there have been so many memorable weddings at Bredenbury: “I once co-ordinated a wedding where the couple loved Star Wars, so they had storm troopers walk the bride down the aisle. We’ve had Chinese Dragons, Fire Dancers, bird ceremonies, silent disco’s and some jaw dropping magicians who had us all in awe!” This goes to show the level of personalisation that’s possible. 

Ashleigh also shares her best expert advice for couples planning their wedding, which we think is invaluable: “If you are a really detailed-orientated person, put everything down in as much detail as you would like in the weeks before and send it to the venue. After that, relax and enjoy the run up! Especially on the day, soak up every moment being with your new husband/wife and your favourite people and leave all the organisational and smaller things to your suppliers. Don’t worry if something doesn’t quite go to plan; trust your suppliers and enjoy the bigger picture, every moment is precious!”
