The restaurant food was awesome but the mountain views from there to die for too. The trip out to the glaciers was memorable! Special thanks to Toby - who made the trip so enjoyable and he was very informative about the history of the glacier. It was an amazing birthday gift for my husband who has always wanted to get there - and he thoroughly enjoyed it, as did I. Top marks to all the staff!!The Mt Cook suite was fantastic!! We dined in the formal restaurant and the service was outstanding and food was great. Much better Than the dinner buffet. We upgraded our room to the 9th floor and loved it. Our room also included a complimentary breakfast buffet which was perfect. Getting a cappuccino was a bit slow, but food selection was great.Gorgeous hotel with gorgeous views. At first, it was hard communicating with Sian, yet I believe she’s no longer there and Taryn took over the events reservation which was awesome, she was quick with her replies. I haven’t been to the Hermitage prior the wedding, so she really helped me organise things from afar. Then, there’s Victoria, the venue/on-the-day events coordinator, she went above-and-beyond [...]Had our wedding at the Hermitage hotel last May 2023. The view from our room was breathtaking, it almost didn’t seem real! The rooms were cosy and clean and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast buffet was superb. Kate on the activities desk was the best, she was so nice and really knows what she is talking about. We couldn’t do the stargazing due to the weather so she opened up a spot for us to view the planetarium and it was amazing.
