Rent our café space and large property for your wedding. We are event planners by trade and can assist you with your planning process! Our tranquil location and freshly renovated space is the perfect place to host your guests on your wedding day. What makes our café the perfect place to host your next event? Our venue is available to rent any season (it is fully heated and also air conditioned) and the location is beautiful year round. The Burritts Rapids lockstation along the historic Rideau Canal is across the street and is a perfect place to sneak away for a first look or sunset photos. Our indoor maximum capacity for a seated reception is 85 people and our maximum standing capacity is 100 people. For couples that wish to host a ceremony inside the café, then a maximum of 65 people is best to allow room for both the ceremony and reception. We offer a variety of different packages and rates which are priced dependent on wedding type, length of the event, date, number of guests, and more. Our venue offers access to our beautiful upstairs Airbnb which is a perfect place to get ready and stay overnight after the event. You can view some photos of the space on our Airbnb site: Boathouse Cafe Airbnb Our venue rental includes tables, 120 of our brand new light bentwood chairs, lots of patio furniture, and more. The café includes a large kitchen, plenty of indoor washrooms, a large indoor bar, a gorgeous indoor fireplace, a beautiful patio with a large accordion style door and secondary bar outside, an outdoor fire pit. We also have a large projector screen, built in speakers and wireless microphone, and excellent wifi. We are wedding planners by trade, so you can rest assured that we will have it under control! Simply head down the balcony staircase and our coordinator will guide you and your wedding party down the aisle. Bring in your caterer so that you can offer a meal of your choice. Bring in your own DJ or simply use our built in sound system

    We just spent a lovely weekend at the Boathouse, with Marianne to expertly guide us through the planning for our daughter's wedding reception. We enjoyed every aspect of the catering services provided by the Cafe. The apartment provided came in handy for preparation, and the location by the locks at Burrit's Rapids was very scenic.     The Boathouse Cafe is BEAUTIFUL!! The owner, Marianne, is a wedding planner by trade so she clearly knows what's needed to run an amazing establishment (not to mention flawless wedding venue)! As a local photographer in the wedding industry, it's hard to come by venues that tick pretty much every box, but the Boathouse does. Every detail has been thought of, and the space has been designed and renovated with so much intention. I honestly can't wait to get back to this space.The Boathouse Cafe is BEAUTIFUL!! The owner, Marianne, is a wedding planner by trade so she clearly knows what's needed to run an amazing establishment (not to mention flawless wedding venue)! As a local photographer in the wedding industry, it's hard to come by venues that tick pretty much every box, but the Boathouse does.
