Shekinah Retreat Centre is home to one of the largest timber-frame constructions in Canada and one with significance to local culture and history. This retreat centre is set amidst scenic landscapes in Waldheim, only 45 minutes from Saskatoon. It is easily accessible via Highway 12 north and local roads.

This wedding venue hosts ceremonies and receptions in magical settings, outdoors with beautiful prairie landscapes as background, or indoors, in a classic event space with modern amenities.

Weddings at Shekinah Retreat Centre

Timber Lodge is a versatile event space for up to 200 people for a banquet. The Shekinah Retreat Centre team provides personalized service and has three options for weddings:

• DIY weddings
• We do it together
• We do all for your 

The first package, Do it yourself, gives you the most control over your wedding day and support from the Shekinah Retreat Centre team. This package only includes rental rates for timber lodge and kitchen, you are responsible for setting everything up and cleaning. 

You can opt for in-house catering or hire a third-party vendor for food and drinks. 

The We-do-it-Together package covers basic reception furniture setup, while you do the decoration or hire a local vendor for professional assistance. Cleaning is included with this package.

Couples looking to add a touch of luxury to their wedding can also sign up for an optional White wedding package, featuring:

• White linen chair covers
• Table cloths
• White napkins
• Wine glasses

Lastly, the all-inclusive package at Shekinah Retreat Centre decreases the stress of wedding planning, by having the team prepare everything for you. They can create a bespoke package to cover your wishes and fit into your budget.

Eat, Drink and Stay at Shekinah Retreat Centre

For catering, you can choose catered meals arranged by the Shekinah Retreat Centre. A typical meal includes: 

• Choice of 2 salads, 1 potato and one vegetable
• Coffee and tea station
• Non-alcoholic punch
• Water station
• Main – roast chicken, roast beef, prime rib, country ham, turkey and staffing

You are welcome to bring your wedding cake. Shekinah Retreat Centre has a commercial, fully-equipped kitchen on site so you can cook for your guests.

Alcohol is BYO, and you need to obtain special licenses from authorities.

Lastly, Shekinah Retreat Centre has 17 guest rooms, available for your special day.
