Sandman Hotel Hamilton

Went to Ottawa for a wedding. Needed a place to stay last minute. While not a luxury hotel this place was affordable, clean quiet and minutes from downtown. They even sell frozen dinners that you can microwave in your room if you want to!

Stayed here for 1 night with a group of friends for one of our own's wedding over the long weekend that was at a nearby hotel. The Front Desk service was great, they were very kind and was able to accommodate majority us with early check in. No complaints about the rooms either.

We had such a positive experience at the Sandman! Kristal the sales manager was so fantastic with our group. We had a wedding close by, and from start to finish she was so pleasant to work with. She helped make sure all our guests had rooms to stay, there was lovely upgrades due to the amount of people who had booked within our party, and everyone was extremely comfortable and happy at the stay.

We stayed for a Friday wedding; arriving late on Thursday and leaving on Saturday. Cost to stay the two nights in a relatively small room was pushing the limits of good taste. ;) Yes, it is a renovated place, with new bathrooms (you need lots of time and patience to figure out the shower - style over function). But... the hotel is sitting in the middle of a parking lot, one side faces very busy highway, the other overlooks a shopping mall.
